Takata recall - dealership notified on july 20th, 2016 and as of september 23, my replacement part has not arrived. (cerritos Acura, ca). I called customer relations and they will forward loaner car request to case manager to possibly supply a loaner car. My complaint to your agency is that I have not had full use of my car for over 2 months now, and there is no expected date in sight. I have elderly parents that I drive them and two toddler children I drive to school. I bought a 4-door sedan to drive my family and am being denied that. Please put more pressure, demands, fines to Acura to solve the problem. Thank you!!! *tr

The car door locks, or door lock actuators, have failed multiple times ( each door at least twice) in five years. The car is now eight years old and all the actuators have failed again. The safety issue arises when the door should automatically lock after reaching 10mph, but they do not due to actuators failing to lock door. This could cause the doors to open if involved in crash. I am concerned with this safety issue as it could also allow unwanted people from entering my vehicle at any given time. Another issue is it is possible to be locked out of the vehicle if all of the actuators fail at the same time, as it requires manual activation of locks from the inside of the vehicle. The failures have been documented while the car was under warranty with Acura. I know of other tsx owners havi

The key has a chip in it that controls the ignition. It also has a spring in it that allows you to fold the key into the fob. I have two times had that spring wear out and break. When you put the key in the ignition and the spring is broken and you have additional keys or rings attached to the fab it can cause the key to start closing from the weight if the spring is broken and that causes the car to shut down and turn itself off. Even if you are in drive or moving forward. It napped two times. Acura replaced the key without question and said sorry. *tr

My husband and I purchased a 2010 Acura tsx with approximately 50 miles on the odometer. When the vehicle reached 350 miles the left front started knocking very badly we took it to Acura of columbus where we purchased the vehicle and made a service appt. We took the car in and they tightened things up they stated. A day and a half later the car started making the noise again we took it back in they kept it for a week and replaced the left front axle and greased the rack and pinion bolts..we got the car back and it again started making the noise again just not as bad and they stated they replaced the left ball joint. I still do not have the car and haven't heard anything. *tr

I was very surprised to hear that my rear brakes needed replacement after only 24,800 miles. I had only taken my car in for the normal oil changing and tire rotation. My normal daily commute is to and from work totaling 50 miles, with the occasional short stop at a grocery store. When my husband questioned Acura if there were any complaints or recalls about the premature wearing of 2010 tsx brakes, they stated they hadn't heard anything. (I had previously owned a Honda accord and I had similar problems with the brakes on that car as well.) so my husband and I decided to look the information up online and there seems to have been a class action lawsuit filed indicating that certain Honda and Acura year models had complaints of premature wear on brakes. Apparently in the settlement

Acura tsx 2010 rear brakes are prematurely wearing. Rear brakes down to 75% use left after only 40,000 miles. Class action lawsuit existed but has expired. My car was not in the list of approved vins for the lawsuit, but my car is experiencing the same known issue. Local non-Acura repair shop says it is a known issue and is due to the calipers binding up. Acura needs to replace the calipers and brakes at no cost. *tr
