2010 Nissan Rogue owner complaints

At 74,000 miles, my 2010 Nissan rogue passenger airbag automatically disabled and the airbag symbol continuously blinks on the instrument panel. Further investigation revealed the passenger seat sensor is defective, requiring replacement of the entire passenger seat. The defect appeared after cranking the vehicle and running at idle, while in park.

Passenger air bag sensor not working properly'will randomly stop working with 175lb passenger but yet works with 30lb bag placed on seat. Vehicle is in motion and can happen on city streets as well as highway speeds. This issue is still occurring. The car was purchased used with 30,000 miles in january 2014. Most of the time I do not have a passenger but I'd like them to be protected when I do.

My airbag light came on and now flashes. I took it to my son, a mechanic with rick matthews Buick GMC and the codes came up as either a seat sensor matt or occupant classification...the seat needs to be replaced and I called a Nissan dealership and they said it would bo over $2,000.00. My airbags will not work now.

While driving on the highway, my 2010 Nissan rouge suddenly would drop the speed to under 55mph. I would push the pedal to the floor but it still would not accelerate. No warnings or engine light displayed on the panel. This was a very scary experience. What is someone didn't pay attention and rear-ended me because of my sudden speed reduction without a warning. I am scared to drive my car on a interstate. I paid a lot of money for it and now it has a very limited use. I only hope that Nissan will carefully look into this problem. Someone's life could be lost because of it. This is a very serious safety issue and I know that I'm not the first person to make this complaint. *tr

When turning right, there was no acceleration as I pushed down on the gas pedal. This has happened on a regular basis and occasionally has happened heading straight in traffic. There is often a lag in acceleration when pushing down on the pedal. Tough in merge situations. *tr

My car have issues with the control arm switch for the lights I put the high beam and the directional light comes on the emergency light everything happens went the light are on

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure nor was the vehicle repaired. The current mileage was 10,043. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.

When I apply the brakes, the car sometimes just shuts down completely and turns off. I have been able to then put the car in park, and restart it. It has happened when I have slowed the car down to go over speed bumps, when I stopped at a stop sign or red light. It also happened on a highway on-ramp. Nissan has not been able to fix it.

Vehicle would not start. Parked in driveway.called aaa. Battery was dead. While re-charging battery, noticed smoke in car. Unhooked battery charger and smoke became flame on drivers side floor board area below where fuse box is located. Fire extinguisher used by aaa worker to stop flame and burning.

I was driving the vehicle and stopped at a Sonic drive thru. I shifted the car into park and I began to hear a very loud creaking noise. When I shifted the car into drive, the car wouldn’t move. I called a Firestone mechanic and he concluded that it was the CV belt that is connected to the transmission. Regardless, only a transmission shop could handle this issue. I called CARMAX AUTO, and spoke with a JASON HEWITT. Mr Hewitt informed me that CarMax will have a tow truck come get the car. The following day, the car was towed by CarMax to Amaco for an official diagnostic. I was notified the following day that my vehicle had a damaged axle and appears to have been cause by a “car accident.” Mr Hewitt told me to file a claim in my insurance. Almost since I bought the car, I felt while driving that the motor was shaking and I took it to a mechanic that told me must be the axle, then I took it to the universal Nissan in orlando, and they told me that it was nothing, and that was normal in the CVT,motors. It kept doing it and I took it again to see if there was a recall, nothing was found, now after the warranty expired I took it for a oil change and they found that the right axle have to be replace entirely, since the oil transmission is leaking from it, and that the part that hold the motor have to be replace too, since the bushing fell apart and it is dangerous, I know there are others with the same problem and Nissan doesn't want to fix it unless a lot of money is paid, they were just giving excuses so the warranty expired, s

My nissa rogue have a transmission replaced back on 6/18/2014 when I was 10 hours away from home now here in town my car doesn't want to pass 10 MPH and it does a horrible sound when the gas is push to go is so unsafe. I have to stop driving right them.

The electronic fuel gauge reading is incorrect as to the actual fuel level that exists in my 2010 Nissan rogue 360 AWD SUV. Because even after more than 250 miles logged on after the last fuel-up of my vehicle, this defective fuel gauge still shows a full tank of gas. This is very dangerous because people may well run out of gas on the road, imagine being out of fuel and stuck in the middle of nowhere. The fuel gauge used to work before, although it has never been very accurate but now it has stopped working altogether. Please help, thank you very much. *tr

Takata recall my steering wheel locks up when I make turns. It decelerates by itself and it shifts too fast when I accelerate. The accelerator has gotten stuck once before.

After driving vehicle for about an hour, car would not accelerate. Gas pedal would be pushed all the way to the floor and RPM's would not exceed 3000rpm. When foot was taken off of the accelerator and pushed back to floor board, RPM's would increase to 3000 and then decrease back down to 2500 RPM. Vehicle would start to decrease in speed even though gas pedal was pressed all the way down. *tr

The sunroof of my car (while I was driving) exploded! Fortunately the inside panel was closed. I imagined something hit the sunroof, but there was nothing inside the well. Just recently I watched a news program that showed that many sunroofs are exploding due to flaws in the glass. The cost of the repair was under my deductible, costing me $303.35 to replace. I was driving on rt. 7 "belleville turnpike" kearny, new jersey. Nothing was near me at the time - it sounded like I had been shot at! I had the repair done at lido auto body in belleville, n.j. It took three days to complete the repair, I had to rent a car (enterprise) to go to work costing me $124.74. Two months after I bought this car at coral springs Nissan, fl. I was driving to miami when the car loose power from 70 MPH went to 40 MPH the car could not accelerate anymore it was very scary. This problem only happens when you drive for more than 1 hour. I took the car to the dealer they could not find any problem because they only did a test drive for maybe 30 minutes. One year after the initial problem the car loose power quite often I only need to drive less than 30 minutes, and the car cannot accelerate is like it goes to neutral when I am at the stop sign, making an u-turn, a right or left turn. I am afraid to have a car accident. I am very surprise after reading others complaints that Nissan has not take any action to resolve this problem. *tr
