It is clear that it's a manufacturing problem with the seals for the headlights in this vehicle. There are many of the same complaints concerning visibility and water log inside the headlamps. I am having this same issue. Because of the water log inside of the headlamps, this could cause electrical damage. The seals in these headlamps aren't sealing correctly and water from rain is flooding the inside of my headlamps, especially the driver's side. A recall should be given for these faulty headlamps. 2011 Cadillac SRX - FWD

Low beam headlights are useless. They only light up one car length. I see others have complained also. We have the "luxury" model with the halogen lights. I see this as a safety factor. There was no accident, I just don't feel comfortable driving this car at night due the poor lighting. *tr

Improper seal allows moisture and cobdensatuon in which causes the headlights burn out. I have owned this vehicle for 2.5 years and have replaced the headlight bulb 3 times.

Both headlights have moisture and right headlight failed while driving. Gm is well aware of this defect. The light failing while driving is a safety issue. Gm will replace light for 1400.00 dollars, but the replacement has the same defect. They need to be recalled and fixed.

Headlamps have become so dim they are very dangerous and the only way to drive at night is with high beams which is also not safe for other motorist. I do not see any moisture in either headlamp as others have stated. In reading the other numerous complaints this is a situation that needs to be addressed and repaired by the manufacturer for a faulty and dangerous product.

12/25/2018 ODI #11163389.0

Headlights very low. Can't see road at night . On coming vechicles honk their horn at you cause they think your lights are off. Have to drive on high beams. Keep having to replace bulbs.

Headlights went out at 70 MPH I -95 curb lost control almost kill entire family.

12/23/2020 72,000 mi ODI #11384702.0

When using low beams it's like driving blind! You can barely see a foot in front of you at night. Must use high beams at night or risk your life due to lack of visibility due to discoloration/problem with lens covers!

12/21/2018 56,000 mi ODI #11162983.0

The low beam headlights are extremely dim, unable to drive safely at night at all. I have replaced the bulbs, but there is not enough power going to the headlights. I think this is due to faulty headlights that allow moisture to get in and have damaged the lighting housing.

12/26/2010 ODI #10372419.0

Rear suspension over the smallest drop in pavement smoothness causes heavy noise which feels like it's bottoming out, the noise is extremely loud and disconcerting. All passengers so far have commented on it. Cadillac says this is normal (the bottoming out sound) this is definitely not acceptable for a car of this cost. It's driving me up the wall waiting for the next bang !!! *tr

On several occasions, the hatchback liftgate opened by itself. Then it would not open at all which doesn't allow any access to the rear cargo area where flat tire repair gear is located. I then determined that the expensive electrical liftgate mechanism became submerged in water from sunroof drain tubes that fail to drain rain to the ground. A further look revealed that the front seat and rear seat floor mats were saturated where electrical cables are routed. Can you provide me with a copy of NHTSA reference # 10078604 or tsb reference # pic-5260-a or any other information why general motors hasn't recalled cadillacs with this unsafe condition.

7/24/15 had sunroof serviced for recall.interior wet moldy, even hat in seat web. 7/26/15 could not open rear lift gate..dealer could repair for half rhe $1,200 cost, since the mileage was over 4 year warranty but had less than 48,000 mi. Could hear water after any rain.dealer admitted problem with sunroof was cause, but not covered.other fuses also located in rear block, fuel pump, wiper, rear windows..cannot open lift gate even manually.so no access to spare, etc.called Cadillac customer care many times ,but they will not admit an obvious safety and design defect. Nor has ther been any advice not to operate or park during rain,or how to prevent further damage.

My liftgate became inoperable. It was working fine since I've had the vehicle. Then we had a bad storm and for some reason water got thru the liftgate somehow and now has standing water in the well under the storage ara, as well as, in the storage compartment on the side. This water has now caused my liftgate to stop working because it flooded my liftgate control module. This is causing a big inconvenience because I can't use my liftgate, and have to spend money on something that is a known and running issue with this local vehicle.
