There is a buzzing noise in the rear passenger side door that happens sometimes when I open the front passenger side door or unlock the doors. This happens when the vehicle is stationary.

While driving, my van had an electrical meltdown starting with my seat warmers not staying on. It continued with gauges malfunctioning, headlights and stereo shut down. Followed by a complete shutdown of the vehicle. It was determined that the alternator went out but also fried the electrical system resulting in needing the tipm and ECM replaced. I suspected the tipm as a problem several months earlier when the van would not start regularly but if you continued to push the start button it would eventually start. It also completely shut down once while driving but then came back up after a couple seconds. My mechanic thought it was the starter. Chrysler has recalled the tipm for my make, model, and year but somehow has skipped my VIN. A lawsuit was also settled in 2015 with regards to the t
We have only owned the car since july 2014. The car simply won't start at times. After some time passes, it will start. While it won't start, all the lights are on and battery is fine. We have taken it to the dealer 5 times, but it has happened approximately 20 times (most recently both 12/27 and 12/28). The dealer has tried multiple solutions (upgraded software, replaced win and tipm, replaced ground wire). This situation is not safe. My wife is carrying 5 kids around (3 in car seats). She has been stranded multiple times (while pregnant and now with an infant). I have no confidence in the car, and who knows if the power will shut off while the car is underway. *tr
Van would not start, only crank and crank. Towed to repair shop and fuel pump was replaced. Next day van had starting problems again. Van was taken back to repair shop. Mechanic was unable to solve problem so van was towed to a Chrysler dealership. The Chrysler dealership was also unable to solve problem and van was returned back to me. Again the van would not start, I tried the tipm bypass idea found online. The van has ran ok since, only having troubles when very cold. The van only has 87000 miles and a very well maintained history. I am scared this van will fail and seriously hurt someone. The cost for a new tipm is very expensive and I don't know if this will even fix the problem. I have already spent $900 on a new fuel pump and have the same problems. Please help
Persistent electrical motor sound emanated from rear of car after parking and powering off (continued after removal of keys). Next day battery was dead, jump started engine with difficulty. Drove for several hours, but again would not start after it was shut off. Mechanic diagnosed faulty totally integrated power module, replaced at a cost of nearly $1,500. After replacement of tipm, new issue of airbag indicator light is on and several 12-volt power ports inside the car no longer work, both new conditions since tipm replacement.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 14v234000 (electrical system) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer stated that the part was on back order and unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the delay. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Chrysler town and country. While attempting to start the vehicle, it cranked but immediately shut off. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the totally integrated power module (tipm) failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.
The l touring town country, I have a automatic front light system that will lower the high beam to low beam if a car is coming in the opposite direction. We had a rain storm that I drove the car through I notice the instrument panel and radio lost power for few second. Couple days later driving at night I turn on the automatic front light beam system and few minutes later the front light, control panel, cab light and radio lost power for couple minutes. This defect could cause a accident if the driver is inexperience driver. *tr
Tipm - my check engine light goes on/of. Intermittently. On for 4 days off for 3 weeks. When on, my vehicle hesitates on highway/back roads at speeds 35-55 MPH. Light goes off on its own and stays off. Other related issues - driver side seat heater has not worked in 2 yrs, despite changing the fuse. Driver side outside door lock button does not work intermittently, unless I open and close the door then try again. Remote start does not work on occasion, despite changing batteries in the key fob. I had to replace the car battery at 65,000 miles. I am most concerned about the hesitation at normal driving speeds. I am certain that this is related to the a faulty tipm which will eventually damage other parts and component. Chrysler needs to recall this part on all makes and models ef
On friday morning, my wife went to start the van but none of the lights turned on. After checking the voltage of the battery, we found that it was completely drained. The night before, she heard a humming noise coming from the rear of the vehicle after the van was off. We were able to jump the van to get it started. Once it started, it ran great. The next day, we tried to start it again but this time the engine struggled to start. It took a couple of tries before we got it started. Jumping the engine did not have positive results. We decided to take it to our auto mechanic and he diagnosed a faulty fuel pump relay. He found that faulty fuel relays are very common in 2011-2013 vehicles, but Jeep grand cherokee and Dodge durangos were the only vehicles recalled and fitted with an external re
The fuel pump relay inside the tipm (fuse box circuit board fuel pump relay) the vehicle would not start sometimes and died a few times out driving it out on the highway. I bought a new relay and had it solder in to my tipm and it works great now then a engine light came on and it say's it's not communication with my PCM then it's working again. Vehicle runs great now and starting. I hear Chrysler 2011 town and country vans are having a lot of problems with the same issues but no recalls on the tipm box modules.

There is a known issue with the tipm/fuel pump relay in many Chrysler/Dodge/jeeps. Why the town and country's were not included in the recall, I do not know. Our issue with the tipm/fuel pump relay caused total power loss twice while driving in a school zone to pick up our children. This could have ended very badly and is not safe! *tr
A few months back, my battery died (it was fairly new). After replacing the battery with a new one, I noticed there was a constant sound coming from the back of the car even when the car was turned off - turned out to be the fuel pump continually pumping. After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery a few times, the constantly running fuel pump issue went away. Fast forward a few months and my car starts having trouble starting. It randomly won't turn over - sometimes taking 10-20 tries before it starts. Eventually it won't turn over at all. After looking online and finding a [xxx] of other people with the same issue, I discovered the tipm "faulty fuel pump relay" issue with the Chrysler vehicles - including mine. I rigged a cable to temporarily bypass the fuel pump relay, and no

I smelled something burning on the driver's side of the vehicle. After driving a short distance (15 minutes) I found the tire was very hot. The car had previously been inspected 3 weeks prior, had brake pads replaced, and inspection detected no issues. Had car taken to mechanic and found a brake hose failed resulting in caliper not releasing. Brake hose and brake pad needed replaced. This is unusual for a car with only 67000 miles.
When my vehicle had about 16000 miles on it, I noticed that when breaking during highway speeds, the vehicle would vibrate. I took the vehicle to my dealer at about 17000 miles and was informed the issue was caused by warped rotors. The brake pads were fine, but the rotors would need to be machined or replaced. I opened a ticket with Chrysler since the brakes were out of warranty at 12000 miles. The agreed to cover the repair. I asked for new rotors, but was informed that they were on a 4 month back order. I had hem machined instead, though I knew I would be back in the same boat soon. On 12-19-12, four months later with 6000 more miles, I took the van back into the dealer with the same vibrating issue, and was again informed that my rotors were warped. The brakes were fine with 7/

We have had many mechanical concerns with our new t&c 2011. We have taken our vehicle in many times to cerritos Dodge Chrysler dealership. After a failed attempt to fix something within the transmission, they completely replaced the transmission. There were still concerns and a week later the vehicle had belts and the water pump replaced. To date, many of our initial concerns still exist and are not being fixed. Concerns include: 1. Noises from under the hood. 2. Shudder/ shake while the vehicle is in reverse. 3. Keyless start malfunctions, it continues to read "defected key", after the keys have been reset, 4. While using keyless, the vehicle shuts off when putting the car into reverse/drive. 5. Rough idle, the vehicle seems to struggle to stay running. 6. When changing gears, the s
Transmission clunks when shifting into reverse. Does this frequently. Noted it first a few thousand miles ago, still doing it, also noted that it rolls back when on a slight incline when at a stop sign on a hill, maybe part of the same probably or more problems with Chrysler transmissions, or they forgot to put in a rollback preventer in these new designs. *tr

Blind spot indicators began to malfunction with indicators in mirrors remaining on, and driver information system stating the blind spot indicator system failed. Also lost rear back-up camera shortly thereafter. Vehicle just has 41000 miles on it. It is a distraction as the unit constantly chimes of the blind spot monitoring being unavailable
