12/22/2018 my Nissan rogue caught fire parked in my driveway. We were only alerted because the horn defaulted because of the fire. Fire department extinguished the fire with some difficulty. They assured us it was electrical. Insurance co. Totaled the car. Upon my own research this has happened many times with this make and model. Nissan has not accepted responsibility in any of them. Thank god no one was injured. The stress and financial responsibility lays with the customers.

As I am steering, the horn goes off at any moment for a long period of time distracting many drivers and scaring them half to death on the road ! This is an incident that has been going on for a while, and there are many other people that I have came across with the same problem. This is my only car and I have no idea who to turn to, but the amount of money for a Nissan that is in great condition and has never been in an accidents seems to have allot of electrical failures.
Whenever my car is in motion, when trying to climb a hill, it would stop automatically. And often times, I would have to reverse my car, turn it off and gently drive it up the hill for fear that it may shut itself off. I have had to change the air mass flow 3 times. The check engine light has been on since september, and when I took it to the shop, the diagnoses came back as the air mass flow, after I have just replaced it. The car would automatically not get gas for no apparent reasons. I am not comfortable driving on the freeway any longer.
I reported a fire complaint back in the summer to you on this vehicle. Now my accelerator just suddenly quits working. I reported this to downtown nashville Nissan around june 2019. They said no code came up. It has since been happening more and more. Twice when I was trying to get on the interstate. Two weeks ago it happened five times in a row and wouldn't go over 30 MPH. When I would let completely off the accelerator and push it again it jumps like all of the energy busts through at once. I have since done research and this is a very common problem. My vehicle still only has less than 59,000 miles on it. This is a very serious safety issue. I am sure people have had to have died because of it but since they are dead they can't report it. I have multiple sclerosis and it makes the s
The vehicle body gives electrical shorts when you it's suddenly turned off. Also the cooling system blows hot air few months after I bought it. This happened when the vehicle was in motion.
I was looking at the fact that this car has 2 recalls for problems that I never bothered to check, but it's better to have everything in order. everything is in order.

I have a CVT transmission problem, this should be a recall. My car should not need a new transmission. Aamco is telling me I will need one so I took it to the dealership where I bought it, they ran codes and said nothing was wrong but I needed a over 1200.00 external cooing system and it is under warranty and then I get a call and its not. I took it to there other dealership and the salesperson and mechanic said there was a problem...it started out loosing power and driving down the road thats kinda scary. I know there are other complaints out there about this and I need to know what to do....
November 21,2022 while driving my husband to the hospital for major surgery the transmission malfunctioned in our car (it was 16 degrees outside). We had to very slowly drive it back home and take our other car to the hospital. Some days after this we got it to our mechanic where he confirmed it was the transmission that needed to be replaced. It has not yet been inspected by anyone either than our mechanic. It is inoperable at this time. There were no warning lamps or messages that appeared prior to the failure.
At approximately 53,500 miles, while on a long trip, the vehicle started making a 'wheezing' noise and experienced a loss of power. It continues to demonstrate the same behavior whenever the engine warms up. The Nissan dealership that I took it to said that the likely transmission problem was common in Nissan rogues, muranos and versas. I had the car looked at by two other independent mechanics who agreed it was a deterioration in the workings of the transmission and that Nissan is well aware of this problem in multiple models and model years.
Vehicle had CVT transmission failure at 90,000 miles. Car speed uncontrollable between slow or too fast on the highway. Nissan dealer indicated transmission was failing, but would not replace it. I filed with Nissan consumer services to check vehicle since CVT transmission failures are being repaired by other car manufacturers. Nissan has refused to address the issue and mechanic agreed this is a failure on the company's side. I had to replace the transmission at a cost of $6,000 and there are still issues with the boot and front case transfers that are not working properly. I'm requesting for Nissan to issue a recall against faulty CVT transmissions and replace these since these are dangerous on the highway.
I had to have the transmission replaced in august. I originally had troubles in may (car would not accelerate and I had my foot pedal on the floor trying to accelerate on the interstate (40 MPH being passed by semis without anywhere safe to pullover) and brought my car to the dealership who told me there was nothing wrong. In august I had similar problems of not being able to accelerate on the interstate and the dealership told me my transmission was toast and I needed another one. They told me that if I did not install the cooling kit, it would happen again. I brought my car to aamco for a second opinion. He agreed that I needed a new transmission and a cooling kit added as this is common with the Nissan CVT transmission. My check engine light never came on and this car was not safe on th

I am going to be on my third compressor replacement for this vehicle with a little over 100,000 miles on it. The defrost and the a/c are affected. It is particularly dangerous in the winter in new england when my defrost is sub-par and impedes visibility. I have read numerous complaints on the internet about this issue in this vehicle and it should not have to be on the burden of the consumer to continually pay for this!
The transmission needs repair. It is a CVT transmission, known to be problematic in Nissans.
12/16/18 filled full tank of gas. Range showed 297 when normally it shows 320-330 miles on a full tank. 12/18/18 am, check engine light on while driving to work. 12/18/18, pm 225 mile range, fuel gauge at 3/4. 12/19/18 am, 212 miles 3/4 fuel. 12/19/18 am 194 miles, 3/4 gauge. 12/19/18 called local Nissan dealer. 12/19/18 filed report to NHTSA. Fuel gauge is reporting 3/4 tank (stopped moving). The range of miles on a full tank is incorrect and inaccurate. Since the fuel gauge is stuck at 3/4 full and my mile reading is incorrect, I do no know how much fuel is in my vehicle unless I track the odometer start and subtract 300 (to be safe).
When I go long distance in my rouge the transmission slows me do to around 35 to 40 miles an hour going up hills and when you stop and go when you hit the gas is doesn't seem to want to go. Unsafe on the freeway it's going to kill somebody and I hope its looked into before this happens. I bought this so I had a family trusted vehicle for trips and I would never drive it for the reasons mentioned sometimes in town but mostly on the highway
The automatic lock on the drivers side has stopped working when it is "cold" outside. It was taken to Nissan last year and determined that the lock had gotten "too cold" and that many other rogues had been seen for the same issue. This is the second time this has happened. The door will not open.

My 2012 Nissan rogue sv that I purchased 16 months ago has had the same reoccurring problem where you'll be driving and the accelerator will get real hard and drop down to 20 miles an hour it's been in the shop seven times had several parts replaced the problem seems to have no reoccurrence theme it's hard to figure out why and when it does it we've gone as long as six months and 4000 miles without issue or three times in the same week the problem is it's almost caused 4 bad accidents we are very lucky my wife is scared to drive it I would do anything to get it fixed but we've tried and tried and tried and it just doesn't seem anybody can figure out what's wrong with it as much as I don't want to put it on the road again we don't have the means to just walk away, the car has 78k miles and

Front passenger air bag warning light remains on in instrument cluster and dash board located near passenger seat. 2012 Nissan rouge was inspected by local Nissan dealer technician and determined the seat sensor is defective and must be replaced. The diagnosis cost $130. Repair cost in writing totals $2,400 to replace sear cushion. This seems excessive, as it is a passenger safety issue, is it covered by recall? This vehicle is a 2012 model purchased in november 2011.
