Around 6,000 2013 Ford Escapes were recalled for a coolant leaking / hose issue that could cause a fire in the engine. My car, according to your site, was not one of them. However, I have experience the coolant issue and tried to repair it on multiple occasions, but yesterday the issue caused my car to leak coolant all over the engine and shut down completely. I am confident this is the same issue the other cars were recalled for.

I scheduled an appointment with autonation Ford margate at 5401 w copans rd, margate, fl 33063 and when I got there they told me it would be a charge to diagnose. The transmission has completely gone out. On this car model, there isn't a dip stick for the owner to check transmission fluid levels. While pulling out of a parking space the car hesitated on going into first gear and then jerked really hard before continuing to move. While still in the parking lot of a retail store, the car continued to hesitate between gears and then a low coolant message appeared. After going to the next store, a large grocery chain, in the same parking lot I proceeded to purchase a funnel that would allow me to top off the coolant, which was barely low to begin with. When I tried backing out of the space to go home, the car hesitated on going into reverse, jerked really hard again and that's when I proceeded to pull the car back into the parking spot at the grocery st
As I was driving I noticed my car jerking going in to first gear. I figured because I was on a hill that was the reason. Later that day as I was trying to run errand as I got in the highway my car wouldn't go above 60 MPH and was at very high rpms to maintain this speed and would not go into 6th gear. I pulled off of the highway and started to make my home to call the dealership. As I made it to a red light the car jerked again when I stopped. As I went to accelerate I made it in the middle of the intersection when my car lost all power and would only rev as if it was in nuetral. After turning it off and back on it ran well enough for me to make it home and I am currently awaiting my appointment with the dealership. I'm at 63k miles and purchased the vehicle 3 months ago and it had about 5
The car will run for about a minute and then want to stall. Also when you start it it will drive for about 20 yards and then start idling very weird and stall. It doesn't do this all the time. It's dangerous.

Every winter while driving my 2013 Ford escape info screen displays "hill start assist not available and ABS icon flashes. The radio also goes off and on. I have taken it to two different dealerships to get this corrected and I am told they could not see any codes for this problem. In other words I am lying. I am sure by checking with others, I am not the only one with this problem. I hope that this can be resolved because I don't know if and when this will effect anything else.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Ford escape. The contact stated that the service engine warning light kept randomly flashing. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a short with the wires and the engine wiring harness. The dealer replaced the parts. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v813000 (electrical system) and 14v495000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 42,612.
The car's computer system would not communicate to the car's speakers. This contributed to the radio not working and more importantly, calls not coming through via bluetooth. Phones would connect to the car via bluetooth, but no sound would come through the speakers. This caused a small safety issue, because the driver would have to disconnect the call through the vehicle in order to hear the phone call. A Ford dealership needed to order a new APIM and replace it for the speakers to work again. They were not aware of any recalls for 2013 Ford Escape APIM yet, and there were no messages prior to the speakers not working, all sound just stopped coming through one day. I did read of a couple other instances of the APIM failing in Ford Escapes.

On 12-22-2021during routine vehicle servicing of my 2013 Ford Escape at Mac Haik Ford in Georgetown, TX, Invoice Number 776999, I was told by the Service Advisor that the mechanic was having troubles getting the wheels off to rotate and balance. Sophie Rosa, Service Advisor told me that the mechanic reported the lug nuts on the wheels were swollen and need replacement. She advised that if not replaced it would cause trouble if a flat tire occurred as the Ford issued lug nut wrench would not fit over the swollen lug nuts. I agreed to have the 20 lug nuts replaced at a cost of $5.36 each plus labor. I did not get the defective nuts returned to me. Checking on-line I found that swollen lug nuts is caused by chrome being overlaid on metal lug nuts which cause rust to occur and thereby cau

My fianc and I were pulling out of our driveway when the vehicle suddenly stalled and stopped completely. The vehicle was then hit by another vehicle the side airbag didn't deploy and my fianc is very lucky to be alive! It wasn't until we purchased this vehicle that we realized that this particular vehicle has had so many recalls. There also has been so many official stalling complaints that an investigation had beeen necessary! Since the accident, the stalling issue has not improved but worsens and is now stalling everytime we put gas into the vehicle. It stalls and won't start again. He was driving on a major highway; upon exiting the highway the vehicle stalled and shut completely off at the highway exit ramp luckily he was able to pull the vehicle off on the shoulder or he would have b

When driving this vehicle, it ser me like it is not running right, and think it is going to die on us in traffic. The front seat belt does not go back in the area where it belongs and sits on the front seat. The passenger driver side door does not close right when you open it. It will stay open until you push the handle down and then it will close and lock. We are afraid to travel long distance with the vehicle because of the way the car acts and run. We just want it fix or replace vehicle.
