On 12/26/2014 & 12/27/2014 at speeds between 5 MPH & 30 MPH, the car wanted to turn itself to the right...it required drivers correction with significant force to maintain a straight line on the road. On 12-27-2014, taking the car to the Infiniti dealer (sacramento Infiniti) the problem went away after reaching freeway speeds. I left the car with the dealer service department for diagnosis & repair. The service manager said he was completely unaware of this type of problem. The car has "direct adaptive steering" (a drive by wire system). *tr

When the contact attempted to drive the vehicle the power steering malfunctioned making the vehicle difficult to turn the steering wheel. The contact called the dealer and was informed that they were aware of the problem with the vehicle and she should turn the vehicle off and back on to remedy the problem. The contact turned the vehicle off and on but the failure continued to occur. There was no diagnostic test performed nor was the vehicle repaired. Upon startup (in cold weather, but on a warm car that had only sat for 20 minutes between trips), the steering was extremely stiff. Had a steering indicator warning light(s) also show on the dash. Restarting the car several times showed that the steering would start ok (normal resistance), but that turning the wheel more than a little bit would result in a 'thud' sound, the error lights on the dash, and the steering going stiff. After repeated starts of the car, it eventually worked properly. This has subsequently happened several more times to the car in the following days. It can take 20+ cycles of turning the car back off and on again before the steering feel returns to normal. *tr
Unable to steer vehicle; steering wheel was not "locked", as a current Infiniti recall is addressing. Weather conditions were temp about 27degrees, about 2 inches of snow on the ground. Vehicle did not respond to steering inputs, car was drifting to the right. At some point, steering response was restored and was able to drive car home. Car is currently at the local Infiniti dealership and issue has not been resolved. *tr
After parking my car in a parking lot, I wanted to adjust it to be more even. So I turned the engine on again. But then I suddenly couldn't turn the wheel. The wheel was locked up. With very firm force, I managed to turn the wheel about 15 degrees - but the actual tires themselves did not turn. The car was in "r" and did reverse, but as I could not steer it did not reverse in the direction I wanted to go. I turned the engine off and on again and then there was a warning on the dash saying that "afs is off" and "the system is off." I turned the engine off and on again for the 3rd time, and then everything was normal and the steering was working fine. The temperature outside was about 46 degrees f. My car's specific model is: 2014 q50s with deluxe touring and technology packages (inc

Manually have to unlock the shifter to put into gear with a key and the steering wheel is at 90 degrees all the way to the right and won't move back to standard positioning while driving.
Our front right bumper was just slightly damaged when back out of our garage. It was very mild cosmetic damage that occurred at only a speed of perhaps 5 MPH. Original body work estimates came in at $2,000 only to spiral out of control with the steering modules being replaced them steering rack before the car was ultimately totaled as the steering programming was still off. Upon research we found out that this particular model was plagued with electronic steering issues which appeared to be addressed under multiple recalls. The insurance company stated that they have videos of the steering wheel going crazy back and forth wildly after the modules were replaced. I am extremely concerned that such an insignificant bump could not only result in totaling a vehicle but could jeopardize a d
While driving, the car lost all power, steering and breaking capabilities. All of the dash warning lights lit up. Infinity replaced the ABS system.
Today november 6, 2019, at about 12:30 pm after I started my vehicle the steering was very hard to steer and maneuver. I drove the vehicle back home but had a hard time steering. My vehicle has adaptive steering. I called about a recall that was issued for this problem and was told a software update was made in july of 2016. It appears that this has not resolved the issue and my vehicle may lead to a possible crash if I drive it. I was told that the issue was resolved despite the fact that I had an issue today. The weather was about 36 f and I don't believe it was a weather related. Issue. I was parked at a shopping mall at the time it occurred the vehicle was still warm when I started the vehicle.
The chasis control system error warning iis on also key system error is on alsso the radio works but no sound from speakers
After filling up car at gas station, started car and began to drive away, after shifting into drive, warning lights came on and das drive system stopped working causing steering to become very difficult. (would compare it to driving a car with power steering that failed.) drove a couple of blocks, pulled over and turned off the car. Waited a minute and re-started the car and everything worked, and warning lights were off. Today (11-18-2013) returned the car to dealership service dept. They kept car and were awaiting a call from Infiniti service rep. I noted online that this issue has been reported now in a number of cases. *tr...updated 12/29/15 *bf *tr

The telematics control unit my 2014 Infiniti q50 will be inoperable by 12/31/16 based on a notice received from Infiniti on 12/6/16. Infiniti has indicated this is because att will discontinue support of the 2g technology the system is designed to use. However, att announced 2g support would sunset timeline way back in 2012 - in this public announcement (https://www.sec.gov/archives/edgar/data/732717/000073271712000073/q2_10q.htm). Without a functioning TCU, the vehicle will no longer be able to provide automatic collision notification - which was a feature advertised on the vehicle. Infiniti will restore functionality of the TCU after payment of $299. Given Infiniti was aware (or should have been) 2g support would imminently be stopped, this fix should be made via a service campaign
