My headlights are very dim I have replaced them both which has not helped and know they have both went out and I have to drive with my hi beams on at all times. Which prior to them going out I drove with hi beams just to see. Very in safe driving conditions. I have spoke with Nissan regarding this and they tell me they have had no complaints regarding my year or model. Basically they don't have any clue what I'm talking about.

Main headlights are extremely dim. They have gotten progressively worse over the past two years and now help almost not at all. If I did not have fog lights I would have to drive with the high beams on in order to see at night.

12/26/2018 ODI #11163591.0

The headlights are progressively getting more dim over time. Lights are dim all the time, not related to idle or other functions. Mileage is 72. 000 miles. Night driving is hazardous. The headlights are lighting only a few feet in front of the car, not illuminating traffic signs, difficulty when making turns at a corner or driveway. I have to use my high beams at night, the high beams work fine but are a hazard for oncoming traffic. This is now a safety hazard that needs immediate attention.

12/24/2019 80,000 mi ODI #11291141.0

The projectors in the headlight assemblies have failed after a couple years. The low beams are so dim that we can barely see at night time. We have replaced the bulbs with numerous different bulbs and the bulbs are not the problem, it is the projectors in the headlight assemblies. As can be found online, this is something that is happening a lot with the 5th generation altima. A recall needs to be issued as this is very clearly a safety related problem if you cannot see at night. This is a manufacturing and design flaw.

There is a recall on the 2.5l 2014 Nissan altimas and I have a 3.5l 2014 Nissan altima, my passenger side airbag light shows no occupancy person sits in the passenger sit, as well as intermittenly when an object is placed in the seat. There is a recall with the same problems of the indicator light on the passenger airbag not showing proper indication, the same should be extended to the 3.5l models as well. *js

When an adult is riding in the front passenger seat the airbag on the passenger turns off and on randomly while riding. If in an accident I am worried that the airbag will not go off properly. I have not contacted a dealer about this issue yet. I have not seen any other warning lights other than the passenger airbag is off.

I've had my sunroof replaced back in 2014- 10 months after purchasing my 2014 altima because it was leaking rain water into my vehicle. Fast forward to now, it's still leaking water into my vehicle and now I'm seeing reports of spontaneous shattering of the sunroofs. I am concerned about mine shattering with my toddler in the vehicle.

(See NHTSA Recall 20V-315). *********************************** History: Thu 12/1/2022: Same Nissan service center (Delaney Nissan State College PA) that performed the hood latch recall repair did some additional work/maintenance on the vehicle that would have had them opening the hood. The left rear arm snapped completely and is now dangling along with the spring link and other parts connected to it. The car is not drivable and I have to have a on-site mechanic come out to fix it. I had been driving the car on the highway the day it happened and luckily made it back to my house, then about 20 minutes later I had to go back out but when I put the car into reverse and started backing down the driveway a loud snap followed by scraping metal occurred. Now the car is stationary on the curb. The right rear arm's condition is also bad, showing signs of snapping in the near future as well. My mechanic along with research I've conducted has informed me that this is an extremely common problem with nissan sedans that happen frequently. I had insurance on this exact part of the car

Vehicle is driven several miles so the engine is warm. Three times the car has stalled when stopping at a light or slowing at an intersection to make a left turn or right turn. When moving from the waiting position the car will stall and as an oncoming car is coming poses a left threatning situation as it will not move forward immediately. Car has been taken to Nissan dealership 2 times and both times nothing shows on the computer. Also, the car was driven the last time and the stall is not replicated. Because the problem is not replicated nisaan refuses to admit there is a problem with the car although a life is in jepordy due to the danger of making a left had turn in front of traffice when there is ample time to make the turn. I have spoken to the national office and they refuse to do a

Vehicle traveling straight on highway at approx. 65 MPH. Vehicle jerked in a fishtail manner to the left hand drivers side. I immediately pulled off the highway, discovered a completely flat tire (purchased only 2 weeks ago). Vehicle towed to dealership and was told that rear lower control arm was severely cracked, unsafe to drive. Service member also advised me that this is an ongoing issue with my vehicle and that I needed to go through Nissan usa consumer affairs since my vehicle (although the millions of issues on record) to have my repair approved. Vehicle is currently at dealership and I am awaiting Nissan usa consumer affairs to call back to address the issue. Vehicle is approx. 7k miles outside of 60k mile warranty.

Having issues with the CVT transmission in my 2014 altima, the symptoms are while sitting at a stop and engine idling at a normal RPM in drive the car will at random begin to lurch forward rpms will fluctuate and at times engine will die. After the engine dies at times restart is difficult and may take two of three attempts before the car (engine/transmission) will function properly. I have taken it to the dealership have been told that they cannot reproduce the issue and therefore (this is my opinion) there is no problem. With only 10,000 miles left on my powertrain warranty, I feel that Nissan has put me between a rock and a hard place, it goes without saying that this is my first and last Nissan. *tr

Have had jerking and shuddering problems while trying to excel, several months after purchasing my car in 2016. At that time it had approx.24,000 miles on it, the dealership took care of the transmission issue. I just recently took it back again with the same issue the car had no power when trying to excel onto the highway ,and was very hesitant and unsafe. The transmission had to be completely replaced! The vehicle only has 43,000 miles on it ,which leaves me very concerned, and with my warranty almost up. I am very concerned as I see this is an obvious problem with this vehicle, that I consider still new.

I was driving on the freeway and my hood popped up and smashed my roof and everything inside the ceiling onto my lap. The lighting and visor broken. Roof and hood damaged. I luckily survived this. I am leading this car. I took it to Nissan when this happened. They said they’d fix it but it’s been months and now no answer.
