After receiving v08/v11 aem update november 18th, 2020 I am experiencing an average of 5-6 MPG loss in fuel economy (16.4 MPG mixed - down from 21.5-22 mixed) as well as experience severe acceleration lag. In terms of highway mileage I am struggling to get 20 MPG. Current ECM: 68306456ai current TCM: 68234053ah following the v08 emissions recall, drivability has been seriously reduced and has created dangerous throttle lag and improper automatic transmission gear selection. I would summarize these issues as turbo lag and improper shift mapping. When accelerating from a complete stop there is a 2-3 second lag before the vehicle begins to move even if the throttle is fully depressed. Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. When the vehicle was started, an audible chime was heard and the fuel level warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Country truck & auto (13042 county rd 20, fort lupton, co 80621, (303) 857-1281) was contacted and an appointment was scheduled. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 104,000.
Brakes are not needed to shift vehicle into drive reverse etc. This can be done when you drive the vehicle for the first time during the day. Key is also no necessary to 0lace vehicle into gear!
When it is cold and raining, and the truck reaxhed 55 MPH, the truck will jerk hard and the ABS light and traction control light will come on and stay on. The dash will light up with the message, "anti-lock brake system service needed" and "4wd temporarily unavailable."
Whenever I go to fill the fuel tank with gas the fuel nozzle gets stuck on the filler neck and is really hard to get off, I usually have to hold the vapor system cap that is on the nozzle in so it will dispense fuel and not lock on filler neck, I have read this was an issue with 2015 model but mine is a 2014 and I cant even let my wife or daughter fill truck with gas because they cant remove from filler neck.

Horn no longer works, by pushing it or with key fob locking when locking my truck. I've read that this has happen on multiple Ram 1500s. My just stop when exiting my truck and I notice I didnt get any beep when trying to secure my truck. Checked every fuse, relay, even took it to the dealership I purchased it from. Only had the truck for 4 weeks and they told me I would have to pay $600. This is a safety issue and I shouldn't be responsible for a horn not beeping..
There is a 1 to 2 second lag when pressing the horn button and when the horn actually sounds. With the lag, it is nearly impossible to sound the horn immediately when someone is encroaching into your lane or any other time when the horn needs to be sounded to prevent an accident. *js

Also, the vehicle accelerated uncontrollably and then decreased with a knocking noise present. Furthermore, when the brake pedal was depressed, the engine continued to rev. The magnetic material on the tone wheel detached causing a crank position sensor error code (P0336) and subsequent misfire while accelerating into traffic. The software had been updated per recall W58 (NHSTA 20V-475). Vehicle could be restarted but lacked full power. The vehicle is out of warranty, however, Stellantis directed that a dealer make repairs, customer pays out of pocket ($3200), and claim be submitted for reimbursement. Stellantis promptly denied the claim, despite correspondence in writing and recorded customer service phone call. A BBB complaint has been filed against Stellantis.
On 5/23/19 I took my truck to the dealer where I'd bought it new to fix a check engine light that was on.after the issue was found and repaired, I picked the truck up and was told a trans update(recall # u07) was also done. As soon as I pulled into light traffic,I noticed the throttle pedal was unresponsive and the truck was sluggish and slow to accelerate.it also shifted up and down a lot more then it normally does all the way home.I thought maybe the trans had to re learn it's shift pattern and would get better after I put some miles on it just as it did when new. Over the next several weeks it didn't get any better and pulling onto the state highway from a town road has lead to some close calls as it'is a limited sight stop sign intersection. I have to do this every time I go to work
This model vehicle continues to lunge forward/bump from the rear when coming to a stop from a 2-1 downshift. Chrysler dealers refuse to acknowledge the issue and state since other same model/year makes do it it is considered normal.

Airbag suspension fails when the compressor fails causing a fuse to blow and loose all air ride suspension. The ride leaves you feeling terribly unsafe hoping you can make it home in one piece. Its all over the web about this issue. Canada has a class action lawsuit filed. There are service bulletins but we need a recall with a permanent fix. It costs over 3000 with no guarantees to be fixed if you live in cold weather. internet information...........PLEASE READ............ The first time I hade any problems with the air ride suspension was when the tempuras got below freezing. Now I can be driving down the highway and my truck will lower all the way down without any warning. This makes the truck to loos control going down the road at high speeds. I have hade it in the shop to get it fixed but it still is doing the same thing.I seen on line where other people has hade the same thing happen while driving. It will also lower its self all the waqy down to exit mode while parked at times

My wife and I were leaving my daughters house Christmas Day when I started my 2014 Ram pickup and it felt like a locked steering column was locked. Shut it off and restarted it but it didn’t respond. I had it towed the next day to the dealer that services my vehicle and the steering control module shorted out which meant the whole steering system has to be replaced at a cost of $3700.00. Plus 3 weeks to get the part. The only good thing is we weren’t driving when it happened. As it turns out no recalls for what I consider a very dangerous condition with absolutely no prior warning. Researched and found out it’s happened to many others while they were driving, but no deaths so Ram doesn’t consider it recall worthy, so how many consumers have to die or get seriously hurt? It has 26540 miles!

We have changed the bolts in our engine multiple times. We did it while it was under warranty many times and even ask the dealer about a recall. Other trucks this make and model has had the same issue. Now due to the bolts breaking again we are having to do more work. This has been an issue since we have had the vehicle. We love our truck but think this is a defect in the motor build up. We even had three different mechanics tell us the same thing. I can provide paperwork if needed! This just happens ever few months. I can go outside with it stationary and as soon as I start the truck I can tell if another bolt has broken.
December 16, 2014 check engine light came on. I took it to dealer and they said it was o2 sensor. They reset it and told me to blow 3.0 diesel engine out. Check engine light came back on as well as a message that DEF fluid was wrong. I called dealer and they said bring it back in. Dealer called me back and said I needed new catalytic converter but it was on back order and they couldn't give me a date. Dealer told me truck was ok to drive. December 24, 2014 a warning message came up on truck that said truck would cut off in 190 miles and would not re start. Dealer now has truck and still can't give me a date on when it will be fixed. They did tell me that there were 82 other trucks in the system like mine. There is an issue with the 3.0 ecodiesel engine and Chrysler has no fix or
