The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at 40-50 MPH on the highway far right lane, several unknown warning lights illuminated as smoke was coming from under the hood. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal felt as if the friction was lost against her foot, and the accelerator pedal traveled all the way to the floorboard as the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact immediately pulled over to the side of the highway, turned off the vehicle, opened the front driver's side door, and noticed smoke and flames coming from beneath the vehicle. The fire department was notified and extinguished the fire. A fire department report was filed. No physical injuries were sustained; however, the contact stated she sustained emotional distress. The vehicle wa

My 2015 Jeep wrangler with less than 36,000 miles (current mileage is 31,000) developed a hole in the upper right (facing the vehicle) on the radiator. Only factory authorized antifreeze was in the cooling system. In fact, the coolant had never been touched since purchasing it new april 17th, 2015. This past fall I knew I had a leak and took it to the dealer. They said it was leaking oil around my oil filter and ended up charging me $46.00 for an oil change; however, the mechanic (pete) could not explain the leak. I felt the fluid on my garage floor with my fingers and honestly thought is was part oil and antifreeze. Now, on wednesday december 26, 2018 they are going to replace the radiator and the dealer's estimate was approximately $800.00 dollars. In short, no radiator should blow a ho

Oil filter housing has cracked and leaking oil. Appears to be widespread problem. Many jeeps built after 2014 seem to have the same recurring problem. The plastic housing is defective.

Faulty oil cooler. 2 different mechanics reported this as a common problem with 2015 jeep wrangler. Due to the way this model was made, the oil cooler is too close to the hot engine making it faulty. As well as the parts around it all have to be replaced. I've been told not to drive the vehicle due to fire hazard. The estimates I've been given are $1400 and up. I've also read many complaints about this same issue, same vehicle, same year, on several different web sites.

There is a 1 to 2 second lag when pressing the horn button and when the horn actually sounds. With the lag, it is nearly impossible to sound the horn immediately when someone is encroaching into your lane or any other time when the horn needs to be sounded to prevent an accident. *js

The ABS warning light, Traction Control warning light, and Emergency Brake light are all lite up on the dashboard of my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. ABS is not working on my Jeep. Mechanic shop checked for codes and said the ABS control module is bad and needs to be replaced. The shop qouted me $1,500.00 for parts and labor and that was if they could find a new ABS control module somewhere. If part isn't replaced, I'm told that brakes could fail or Jeep could seize up after being driven so many miles. Mechanic shop said ABS control module for Jeeps is on National backorder and they are hard to find, can find used ones at salvage yards but they are priced three and four times what they normally cost brand new and they may or may not be able to flash the module to match my VIN on

When pushing the horn button in the middle of steering wheel, nothing happens for about 1/2 to 1 second, then horn sounds. Very dangerous when trying to call attention to a possible accident about to happen.

Horn delay! When pressing the steering wheel there is a noticeable delay in the horn sounding. At times I have needed the horn to alert someone wandering into my lane and a quick 'hit' to the wheel did not sound the horn. No other vehicle I've owned operates like this. Please get a fix to us owners. My 2013 wrangler had the same issue. Still in 2015 it exits. Lots of internet chat about this safety issue on the Jeep / Chrysler forums.

We bought our Jeep in july 2015. Went on vacation to oregon in august 2015 and the engine light came on. We drove to winchester bay to a Jeep dealer where they diagnosed that a cylinder misfired. But they said to drive it back to california to the Jeep dealer where we bought it. After that when driving the Jeep the traction light comes on and at the same time the accelerator stops working. The light stays on for about 4-6 seconds, but so does the accelerator. This was happened 9 different times. We have taken the Jeep into the service department and they keep the Jeep for a week. This happened 3 times, so for 3 weeks we didn't have our Jeep and had to rent a car (which Jeep provided). They were unable to duplicate the traction light going on. After the third time, the dealer would not

Last friday afternoon (12/13/19) I had a significant brake malfunction where I believe the ABS system falsely thought a wheel was locked up and released the brakes or made them much less effective during a normal stop (my interpretation of what happened ' especially after some online research). I was travelling at approx. 45 MPH and the light ahead turned yellow and I pressed the brakes to stop. The brakes were ineffective, and I realized I was not going to be able to stop in time before entering the intersection. I decided to run the light and pull over on the shoulder immediately. I then proceeded to drive again in a slow fashion and apply the brakes. I had the same ineffective response. I tried a third time with the same results. I believe the ABS was being engaged falsely. I was al

I have been experiencing the "death wobble" the first time when it was only a year old with 10,000 miles. It was brief and I attributed the issue to road conditions. It happened again around 20,00 miles. It was brief and again on the same freeway attributed to road conditions. I recently experienced it again at 39,000 miles - it was so severe, and violent, shaking the entire vehicle- it was extremely difficult to control the vehicle. I made an appointment at the dealership. The diagnosis was a cracked drag link assembly, need front stabilizer shocks, and rear shocks. On top of that they said there is a crack in the radiator, believed to be from the violent shaking. It's no longer under warranty, with only 39,000 miles - 3,000 miles over and they won't do anything. I have been a lo
