CVT transmission would struggle at low speeds, it would feel like it was jumping or getting caught on something. No check engine light or other error codes would display. Dealership insisted nothing was wrong. After 3rd check in 6 years, they finally got an error code and determined we needed a replacement.

The transfer case and axle seals on my 2015 Nissan murano have been leaking and the dealer has had the vehicle three different times, within the last month and a half, for numerous days. There was 27,091 miles on it when I took it in on 11-08-17. The dealer has provided a rental each time. The three dates the vehicle went into the dealer are: 11-08-17, 12-02-17 and 12-19-17. I filed a case with Nissan under case #29147756 and gave them a copy of the title showing that it was purchased through my family's business, burkins & foley. I will provide you with a copy if needed.
The transfer case need to be replaced. I took my vehicle to the dealer a few months ago and they told me I had a leak but didn't know where it was coming from. I took it back to the dealer yesterday 12/16/22 and they told me where the leak is coming from. The cvt fluid is leaking from the lh axle seal. Murano owners have been complaining about this same issue. The dealership is charging me $712.59 for an issue that I didn't cause. The dealership need to fix this for free because this issued happened during the making of the vehicle and shouldn't fall on the buyer.
Here is my experience: I purchased a 2015 Nissan Murano new in July 2015. My CVT transmission failed and was replaced under warranty by Nissan in June 2019 at 52,000 miles. Today 11-29-21, at 62,100 miles, my transmission failed again due to the transmission oil/cooler/radiator assembly failing to cause the cooling fluid and the transmission fluid to mix, resulting in having to replace the Transmission, Radiator, and associated assemblies for $6,600!
When trying to merge onto the interstate, the car didn't accelerate, causing other vehicles on the road to swerve around me. Afterwards, I noticed that the car was shaking or juddering at low revs (about 1,000 RPM). I internet searched for possible causes and found that this shaking was caused by a known problem with the CVT on my car (Nissan Murano). I bought the car (a 2015 Nissan Murano AWD SL) in 2018 as a certified pre-owned vehicle only used by that Nissan dealership, it now has 63,841 miles on it. I needed the vehicle so I had the transmission replaced (I was told that 'fixing' the problem was not an option), at a cost of $7,157.19. There was no warning, no lights on the dash, etc. I had also just had the car serviced at the dealership (on 8/3/24, which cost me $2,618.55) where they

Passenger air bag is intermittently disabled with passenger in passenger seat. Problem has reocured intermittently numerous times since we purchased vehicle (dec 2014) however dealer says cannot fix until it fail so they can see it. Code no fault found is all they will tell us. Dealer has made no attempt to fix problem other than read codes. No parts replaced, no adjustments made no troubleshooting of any kind as far as I know. Nissan corporate prefers to deny problem exists. Problem occurs with wife in seat as she is frequent passenger. Dealer never ask her to sit in seat to check codes at that time. Have 6 page document that nisan provided that tells one how to sit in seat, more a cya document from Nissan. Doc says there may be an object placed under the front seat but if you notice n

The vehicle was in motion driving about 45 miles an hour (no rain, no snow on the car), when the sunroof spontaneously exploded. The car was going straight forward with no bumps in the road. No rocks hit the car and there was no collision. It was about 1:30pm in december in michigan, there were no other cars around, no rocks. The sunroof exploded on I's own - due to faulty equipment. The car had about 21,000 miles and has never been in an accident. We purchased it certified, pre owned from a Nissan dealership 8 months prior. Nissan has refused to take any responsibility for the issue.
The door locks for this vehicle are unreliable. I have had to replace all 4 on this vehicle and many other locks on my previous 2 Murano vehicles. They will not lock/unlock reliably. Sometimes they will not unlock when exiting the vehicle. They cannot be counted on in an emergency to unlock.
On the morning of november 7, 2017, the front/sliding portion of the sunroof on my 2015 Nissan murano spontaneously exploded while I was driving down I-5 in seattle, wa, at the posted speed (60 MPH). The sound of the explosion was deafening (I thought that a gunshot had been fired at my vehicle, and/or I had had a catastrophic tire blowout). Luckily the retractable fabric "shield" between the sunroof and the interior of the vehicle was deployed, and the shattered glass did not fall on me. I was able to pull off the freeway and prevent large chunks of glass from flying into on-coming traffic. I subsequently reported this incident to my insurance company, and the sunroof was replaced by my insurer (the cost of the replacement glass was approximately $1500; I paid a $250 deductible, and t

cruise control 1 complaint shown
My vehicle recently began displaying a warning that the anti-collision system is not functional and I noticed this also disabled and disengaged the cruise control resulting in sudden deceleration . This problem seems to reset when car is started and reoccurs after 10 to 15 minutes driving. I took the car to a Nissan dealership service dept, and paid for a diagnostic test to source issue. The Nissan service rep told me this was a known issue but I would need to pay out of pocket to fix. I searched on line and on numerous sites found it was a very common and serious defect with a bosch supplied sensor on the radar . This is a driving safety feature I consider essential to my purchase and when suddenly fails disengaging cruise control presents a very dangerous situation to myself and others
