I have a 2015 Nissan pathfinder which I bought brand new in 2015. The current mileage is 39,400. Very recently the radiator cooling fan has started making rattling noise and it appears wobble when fan is running. I have done lot of research during the last few days over the internet and it seems like a common problem with many Nissan pathfinder over the years. Also, many people have had it and make complaints to Nissan manufacturers directly and they refuse to admit it as a widespread problem. It's a design failure for sure and the fan can break, and may come apart and go into the engine causing major safety issues. I would like to see NHTSA made this a general recall, so no other pathfinder owner has to pay for this repair. This is becoming a serious safety issue.

I bought my 2015 Pathfinder new in 2016. Love the vehicle but I am disappointed in how quickly it started to "fall apart". I had a Altima with over 200 000 miles without a single part breaking on it. I bought my Pathfinder based on the premise that all Nissan products are as good as my Altima. I have only 52000 miles on my Pathfinder now and I have a defective cooling fan making a terrible noise. There is no support for my Pathfinder any longer from Nissan and the cost of replacing the fan is well over $1400. I expected more from Nissan and my new vehicle for next year will be based on my experience with Nissan. I am not sure I will be driving a Nissan next year. Nissan is cheeping out on product that they use for their vehicles now, it's too bad, they used to have very well built products

After hearing rattling under the hood, I took my car to the Nissan dealership. They told me that the fan shroud needed to be replaced. This cost is over $900. The dealership told me to call Nissan to ask them to pay for the part. The dealership explained that this part is breaking in almost all Nissan pathfinders somewhere between 40,000 and 60,000 miles. My car had ~54,000 miles. I had to fight with Nissan to cover the cost of the part. They originally only wanted to cover 80%, which I found to be unacceptable, since it was clearly a manufacturing problem. I would like the NHTSA to issue a recall so no one else has to go through this to get the part fixed. I was lucky my dealership was honest about the problem being a widespread pathfinder problem. I would hate for someone else to have to

Sudden loss of acceleration when fuel level is low, particularly when starting a turn or starting to cross a street from a stop, if the vehicle does not accelerate then an accident may happen. The vehicle computer reports a problem with emissions yet replacing the fuel pump made it go away.

Possibly related to the past year models Nissan CVT issues. 2015 pathfinder with less than 10k miles under 2 years old transmission failure. My wife was driving on the highway with my 3 kids (4 year, 2 year, and 1 month old) when the vehicle stop accelerating. She was lucky enough to pull over to the shoulder safety. When she tried to restart the vehicle, the vehicle would not move when it was in drive mode or low gear. The vehicle however did move in reverse. My whole family was stuck on the side of a fast moving highway, without me, until I was able to leave work, an hour away, to get to their location and safety get all the kids and my wife to a safer location. Towed the vehicle to the dealership where we bought the car and they said that they have to replace the transmission. The is

We bought this Nissan Pathfinder SV model with 4-wheel drive brand new in 2015. This model supposed to have had an upgraded Continuously Variable transmission (CVT). It is meticulously maintained. In 2020 at 70,000 miles the CVT oil was changed by the Nissan dealer. The dealer said that there was nothing abnormal with the car and it was doing well. About year later at around 80,000 miles, car started to sporadically shudder and loose power when cruising at a low speed and when trying to accelerate or go up a hill with slow speeds. There was no check engine light, or any other indicators that there was a problem. We took it to the Nissan dealer and the dealer ran diagnostics. They charged us $129.95 for an hour of troubleshooting and give us a report that the car has a code P17F1 - th

Judder is found between 20-25 miles for more than 5 second when accelerating smoothly. The mechanic recorded the judder and sent it to the engineer. The engineer at corporate Nissan told us that it is a normal thing but any car shouldn't have a judder(especially 2015 newest model). A judder also shows in the high speed, but not as much as slow sleep. A judder also appears when the car slows down to a stop. I have to wait until check engine light it up for them to fix the issue. It does not make sense when there is a record of judder but wait until something happens to the car.

cvt transmission is the worse my vehicle stopped on me on the highway coming from miami to orlando no warning nothing just stopped, the vehicle goes faster than it actually says with my children the only direction it could go into is reverse late at night it was so scary. I know if I could change my vehicle I would for a vehicle without CVT Transmission it doesn't shift like normal which is shifting at each short line it races to 3 to 4 then goes down putting more where and tear than norm

The car suddenly started stalling on the highway and would not accelerate and stuck at the same speed. The check engine light came on. This happened a few times where the car would stall and the acceleration would not work on local roads as well as the interstate thus considerably slowing the speed of the traffic upon getting it inspected at the dealership, they found the crankshaft sensor was faulty.

The vehicle makes a lot of noise when the ac or heat is turned on. Seems to originate from the cooling fans. When the ac or heat is turned off the sound goes off too. It's very loud seems like the fans are going off. Makes the noise whether moving or still as long as the ac or heat is on.

Both my sun visors have failed after only 61000 miles. The driver's side visor lost its ability to stay in either the up or fully forward situation resulting in it falling down in front of my vision while I was driving down the highway. The passenger side visor is almost at the same stage of failure. It hangs down 2 inches from the top of the roof. Multiple times passengers have hit their face on the visor when leaning forward. After talking with the Nissan dealership's parts department, they indicated that situation is not abnormal. The parts person said he was in a similar situation with his pathfinder. I ended up replacing the drivers side visor since it was blocking my vision while driving. Soon the passenger side visor will need to be replaced. As you can see from the attached pictur

The vehicle stops accelerating while driving. No matter how much you press the gas is doesn't go. We have found out that we must press the brake down nearly all the way and then press the gas. This is dangerous especially in a big city. There is no pattern it does it while getting on/off exits and while driving on residential roads as well.

Vehicle purchased new 3/2016, less than 15,000 miles (hwy). 12/1/2016 while driving on hwy, rear passenger tire sidewall shredded and macerated. Since buying car, have had frequent "low pressure" readings on all tires randomly without any definite cause that mechanics noted (tires were not removed). The 1 tire was replaced at our expense. The car dealership (Nissan) and tire manufacturer (continental) each defer responsibility to other. There are multiple similar stories easily found online with these tires. While this particular one apparently does not have a recall, perhaps it should before someone dies. Continental crosscontact lx sport *tr
