The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V478000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and performed an inspection and verified that the carbon-fiber driveshaft needed to be replaced; however, the dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. Driving on the interstate and heard 2-3 loud pops, car was in motion and loss power and would not accelerate. Lucky there was no other cars on the interstate at the time, car will start but will not move. Had it towed to the nearest Mercedes dealership and they said it was the 2 piece driveshaft that came apart. The dealership said there was a recall but its now closed, and would not repair it

The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle started to lose motive power with the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact observed a grinding noise emanating from the engine compartment, and a message appeared that the transmission had failed. The vehicle was restarted but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

The engine started to misfire at 39,427 miles in which my warranty had just expired a month prior to the issue I took the vehicle to a mechanic and he determined the spark plug was breaking due to a engine malfunction from the manufacture and that coolant was mixing with the oil.

I couldn't go to take the car on a test drive. I was 3 hours away but they help me get everything done online. And when I went to get the vehicle.my brother notice a bubble on the tire. Told the representative he said he will send me a new tire. He submitted it throw the insurance. And when I took the car on drives brakes were making noises. I asked him he said it passed inspection I took it to Mercedes dealer and they said I need brakes for back tires and a new back tire as well cuz there's bubble on it as well.I have 60 days warranty. Texting them calling them they keep saying they will get back to me but nothing.
