2017 Chrysler 300 owner complaints

The vehicle's LCD screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.). This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2017-2019 owners. I am encouraging them to file a concern with your group and to ask for a recall of the car for this reason.

My UConnect system periodically goes berserk and the radio changes from FM to AM, flashing on the screen between the radio and navigation system. Bluetooth won't work. My heat control settings do what they want. My backup camera sometimes stays on. The whole system sometimes shuts down than comes back on. The back up camera issue started about a year ago and is sporadic. The radio/navigation/heating issues just started about a month ago. This too is sporadic. I never know when it is going to happen. It is extremely distracting!!!! I can take the vehicle to the local dealer for inspection upon request. The vehicle components started failing first with lighting and electrical malfunctions. Due to the concerns I was on the way to the mechanic on 9/16/23 when the air bags deployed on the passengers side without any impact. The Vehicle is at Chrysler dealer on central avenue Albany, NY and available for inspection. I had just dropped off my grandchildren this could have severely had a horrible impact had they been in car. Not to mention it scared me, I was not sure what was happening. Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Chrysler 300. On three separate occasions, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was jumpstarted and driven to jim reihl's friendly Chrysler Jeep (located at 32899 van dyke ave, warren, mi 48093, (888) 834-3916) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000.

Delaminating screen causing all sorts of issues while driving. Changing stations, favorites, attempting to make calls which could lead to calling 911 in error, turning back on after I’ve turned it off trying to avoid the car from calling randomly, adjusting climate, etc. all on its own. This is a known issue since 2015. Class action lawsuits have been filed. This is a huge safety hazard and a recall should be done. This is going to cause many crashes!

Blank screen, voice scrambled with incoming and out going calls and I have to press the hold button and immediately press off to recover conversations. Radio screen looks as if there is screen peeling from inside the screen. Most of screen is clear and looks as it should but about an inch from the top is a different color. The screen is constantly flipping from 1 screen to another.

The radio started having issues with the rear view camera. Did a soft reset and worked until today. The screen only shows "loading navigation" and the rear view camera is not working. A soft reset did not repair the problem. I just bought the car 4 months ago and having issues with it...unbelievable

Driver side interior molding is coming apart, molding is coming apart where it meets with the door on top by window.

I have a 2017 Chrysler 300s with 10,000 miles on it and the front bumper keep hanging lower on the driver side. I took it in to the Chrysler bodyshop and the try to fix it and them say they replace the bumper with a new one and I still have the same problem. The front is about to come off from my car!!! There need to be a recall on the front bumper of the Chrysler 300 front bumpers!!! This is the 5 time that I have taken this car to the shop about this bumper!!! Please help!!

The vehicle was taken to fullerton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (1050 us highway 22, somerville, nj 08876) where it was inspected however, not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls under the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.

Rotors are warped per maintenance check which I believe is from the emergency breaking. 43400 miles from leisurely driving and brake pads are still good. When I'm driving downhill and apply breaks, car starts to vibrate. Then at times of high speed of 70-75 the blind spot warning light comes on and the side sensors stay on until I come to a complete stop.

1) Going 25mph to 55mph the car started shaking. 2) I stopped at the Performance Dodge / Chrysler dealer for an evaluation of the situation. 3) Diagnosis was a loose Drive Shaft which can fall at any time. 4) $1980 for the Drive Shaft and $477 Labor. 5) It is a very unsafe situation, and the vehicle has 65,000 miles.

The front lights projection is extremely narrow. When turning left or right onto a dark drive or roadway it is impossible to see until the vehicle gets mostly through the turn.
