This 2018 Ford Taurus had a water pump fail. This vehicle has a water pump inside the engine instead of attached to the outside of the engine like usual. When it fails, coolant fluid gets inside of the engine and ruins it. Normally, when a water pump fails, coolant would leak but not inside of the engine. This is a design flaw. This 2018 Taurus was bought new and maintained with excellence at Ford dealerships. This is a loss of worth of $6000 to me. The dealership states it would cost $10000 to replace the engine so it is not worth fixing. We will be getting rid of it so there will be nothing available for inspection especially since you would have to take the engine apart to get at it. Safety was not a concern. I am reporting this to you at the suggestion of Ford Customer Relations. Inter

The rear view camera is not working properly. It blinks at times and then the view of the rear is upside down. This happens when I put the car in reverse.

It has not been inspected nor any faulty lights warnings besides one or 2 times of camera unavailable. I know there are some recalls on other vehicles with this issue but the Taurus SHO.

Every time I turn on the car, it makes an intermittent electrical humming/buzzing sound. The car makes the sound whether its sitting in idle or when im driving. It is coming from the rear of the car and sometimes sounds like a static in/out buzzing/humming sound. Ive had a couple of mechanics listen to it and they said its coming from underneath. One mechanic told me its something with the electrical power steering and nothing can be done. You hear the sound more in the middle of the back seat on the floor. It is aggravating. This is a brand new car and I know this is not normal. I am taking it to Ford today b/c I know this has to be a factory defect......a car should not be humming/buzzing and sounding like a static noise.............that is not normal...it's a brand new car!
