I was driving my vehicle on the freeway at a speed of 60 mph when all of a sudden the sun roof part of my panoramic roof shattered all over my interior of my car and myself. It blew up all over me and was quite disturbing let alone could of caused an accident or glass could of cut my eyes. I was quite shaken up. I contacted my insurance and working a claim to have it replaced. Then I find out this has been common in Nissan vehicles for a long time and law suits because of it, too. These sunroofs allegedly exploded because of their design. Instead of laminating the glass in the sunroofs, the lawsuits claimed, Nissan used thin pieces of tempered glass instead of thicker pieces. The reason why Nissan allegedly did this, according to the suits, is so that the sunroof could be light

I was driving 40 MPH when the car automatic stopped and applied the automatic emergency brake (aeb) was applied with no obstacles around on a clear sunny day. The car is brand new with only 1100 miles on it. Car came to a complete stop. I am afraid for my safety and will contact the dealer where I purchased the car first thing monday morning (11/2).
The hood of my car flew open while driving.
Vehicle routinely triggers the automatic emergency braking system when approaching a certain overpass. Speeds are usually around 40 to 50 MPH. Occasionally triggers at other locations where no obstacle should be triggering it. Local Nissan dealer has inspected the system several times, including sending to a specialist, and found no defect.

Until then have to wait [xxx] cells d [xxx] f [xxx] emails [xxx] no incident as of yet but there is a concern if there is an accident or incident that causes something and we cant get this fixed . We make payments on a car that can have or does have a defect . Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
I've only had the car 3 months and an error code for the forward collision worning light is on. The dealership said it should go off. It never did. It is malfunctioning and it automatically and without notice applied the emergency brake system when it's not needed. It gave me sort of whiplash. It does this often out of no where. This could cause a severe accident.

While parallel parking, we backed into the space and when we put the car into Drive, it lurched forward at an incredible speed. We hit and pushed the car parked in front of us, hopped up onto the sidewalk, knocked down a street light, and moved a huge concrete planter. The airbags over the windshield and under the dashboard deployed. The bags under the dash exploded with such force that they injured my husband's legs, and he has been seeing a wound doctor for the past five weeks. The car was towed to a repair shop. I reported the incident to Nissan NA; they sent a representative to retrieve information from the EDR. Nissan has advised that no mechanical problems were recorded but we are absolutely certain the car malfunctioned. We think it might have been a problem with the CVT.

When my wife sits down in the passenger seat the light in the dash that says the passenger airbag is engaged doesn't go out and you have to play with the seat belt clip to get it to go out. This has happened twice within the last two days and I have not yet brought it to the attention of the dealer nor Nissan.
brakes 1 complaint shown
We purchased this murano 3/4/2020. It was a demo driven by the sales manager.we noticed that when stepping on the brakes there is a grinding sound. An secure odometer reading was not attached to the contract so we do not know how many miles the sales manager drove the car.this is a federal offense with a fine up to $10,000 for pinnacle Nissan to not supply us with a secure odometer reading. We are senior citizens, I am 73 and my husband is 86. We live approximately 120 miles from the dealership. We will not drive the car because it could be fatal to our lives. We have tried contacting the general manager and he does not return our calls. We finally decided to hire and attorney. They also baited and switched the price of the car. Packed the invoice, and treated us with disrespect.

My sunroof exploded but I don't know why. There was no warning. Might have been a rock but I didn't see one. I had the sunroof closed but the fabric cover was open for light. I heard an explosive noise and then glass started raining in. I closed the fabric cover to keep the glass out of the passenger compartment. No real injuries other than a couple of glass shards being sharp. Mostly just got some skin irritation. Some areas on my car have scratched paint and plastic parts. I had my Nissan dealer look at it. They will clean up the glass and replace the sunroof for about $2000. I feel like it should be replaced for free as a warranty item. I also got an estimate from a collision shop for about $7500. There is scratched paint and plastic as well as the headliner certainly has glass

Called dealer, explained what happened, working now, they said they will order part and made appt for 1 week later. At dealer waited for 1 1/2, then they said could not replace part because it was working now and if failed again would have to have towed in. All this for a part that is around 20 dollars
