2021 palisade calligraphy - while driving on highway (comfor mode - cruise control) htrac error light came on. After stopping and shutting car off the error resolved for a few minutes and then came back on while driving. This vehicle AWD system failed, the assitance systems failed, namely: Adaptive cruise, regular cruise, blind spot warning, emergency brake assist, lane keep assist, and parking collision warning.
The vehicle experienced premature transmission failure, including torque converter clutch malfunction, hesitation, jerking at speeds between 30–35 mph and 50–60 mph, and drivability issues. Diagnostic indicators are consistent with widespread complaints from other Hyundai Palisade owners. This failure presents a potential safety concern due to unpredictable vehicle response, hesitation during acceleration, and reduced control during highway driving. Dealer / Manufacturer Response: Hyundai Motor America requires an authorized dealer to submit a warranty or goodwill claim for review. The servicing dealer, Reliable Hyundai (Springfield, Missouri), has refused to submit the claim, preventing evaluation and resolution. This issue appears to be a known defect affecting multiple vehicles of the s

Windshield on 2021 Palisade cracks easily i had two cracks developed within 3 days of each other. Cracks easily developed into a 2 feet crack
While driving down the highway a truck in front of me slings a rock into my windshield. Watched this small crack run all the way across my windshield shortly after. These windshields are too fragile. I have never experienced this with any other vehicle I have owned.
We were driving at a slow rate of speed and a rock bounced up from a passing car, not even driving behind it but passing head on, and it cracked the windshield. These windshields seem to be extremely fragile and can't hold up to a simple rock or even pebble. In my experience, I have never had a complete crack like this and the windshield should be able to withstand or only present a rock chip that can be repaired versus replacing the entire windshield which is very expensive due to the calibration required for the safety features. This is very concerning since this was low speed, what will actually happen if it took a high speed impact.
Wipers became non-operational as snow slide down the front of the care preventing the wiper from completing a full cycle. The snow was ~3 inches up the windshield which halted the wiper in the down position. Once the snow was manually cleared the wiper was able to complete its evolution and regained functionality. This occurred at a speed of 15 while breaking during inclement weather. Not an ideal situation for wipers to stop working but fortunately was in a position to pull over to understand and resolve the issue.
seatbelts 3 complaints shown
Second row seat belt buckles come unbuckle while driving. Even with buckle securely fastened and checked upon passenger being seated, later on the seatbelt becomes unbuckled randomly during driving. Extreme safety issue not only since the passenger is unbuckled, but because driver now becomes distracted trying to resolve a safety issue while driving.
Occasionally the driver's side middle row passenger seat belt will come unbuckled while driving. This happens without pushing the eject button. Reinserting the buckle will clear the seat belt alarm and refasten the belt but occasionally it will pop out again.
The captain seats in the back middle row will be clicked in place and they come undone during operation of the vehicle. This happens on both of the captain seats in the back row. This has occurred at least 6 times in the last month Dec 2024

I was unable to use my seatbelt because the end that accepts the strap, would not allow the seatbelt to click in to the device. I had to drive without a seatbelt several miles. I tried probably 20 times to get it to click in before giving up. My husband was able to somehow reset the mechanism, and it appears to be working fine at the moment. but I fear I could get either locked in or out of the seatbelt in the future. There was no warning the seatbelt was having an issue prior to this event. Also, it appears my model, the 2021 Hyundai Calligraphy is not included in the service bulletin campaign with the issue of a knock in the rear end (my noise is coming from the right rear area of the vehicle. Most likely the rear shock absorber, upper insulator. I'm not sure of the safety issue this

From driver: "While traveling westbound on John Lynch St, I approached the left turn lane heading southbound on Valley St. I engaged the brakes and began navigating the left turn at approx. 30 MPH. While turning, the vehicle's "Lane Assist" engaged preventing me from completing the turn. Halfway into the turn, the vehicle continued westbound, hopped the curb, and collided with a stationary road sign that was not in use. I continued through the intersection and pulled off the roadway." Follow-on questions: 1) How fast was the customer traveling when they were actively turning? A. 30 MPH, which I am assuming was the approach speed. To the best of the vehicle operator's recollection, the approach speed was appropriately 40-45 MPH, with an active turn speed of 30 MPH. 2) What wa
This vehicle only allows for wireless apple carplay connectivity. When using this feature, calls drop constantly, maps and directions drop constantly, and the navigation screen goes black while driving. This has caused major distraction and lost calls/directions. This happens despite all software updates being current. This happens when stationary, in motion, on why or city streets. At all times.

steering 1 complaint shown
when driving along, and trying to turn the steering wheel, the wheel locks up and won't allow it to be turned. It's almost like the steering wheel has been hydraulically blocked. It has happened numerous times over the past 2-3 months. usually, at slower speeds or coming out of a stop light on surface roads.
lighting 1 complaint shown
The low beam headlights are too bright causing vehicles in the opposite direction to flash their high beams thinking that my high beams are on. This is a safety factor as I am often blinded by other drivers who flash their high beams and in many cases keep their high beams on. I've visited Palisade chat rooms and have found that other drivers have the same complaint. I have contacted Hyundai headquarters and reported the problem and have taken it to dealers three times to have the low beams lowered. I have been told that the low beam adjustment is correct and nothing can be done to fix my problem. I believe this low beam problem is a design defect and should be corrected. My vehicle is available for examination if necessary.
engine 1 complaint shown
The engine failed due to excessive oil consumption/internal oil loss. The engine is currently installed in the vehicle and available for inspection upon request. The issue began while the vehicle was under warranty and has progressed to the point where engine replacement has been recommended. Ongoing oil loss and engine malfunction created a risk of sudden engine failure or loss of power while driving, which could lead to stalling or reduced ability to safely control the vehicle. This presents a safety risk to the occupants and other motorists, especially at highway speeds. Yes. The issue was confirmed by an authorized Hyundai dealership through oil consumption monitoring, diagnostic testing, and inspection after the check engine light illuminated. Hyundai has acknowledged the problem by
