The main fuel line feeding the fuel pump ruptured without warning, causing gas to spray across the engine compartment. The hot engine caused the gas to start cooking off, resulting in a fire in the engine compartment. The fuel line rupture has been confirmed by my Ford dealership.

Battery in the passenger compartment is charging at 15.2 volts constantly. Ford dealer claims this is not a problem, but the battery life has been shortened, and the battery model number states it should be charged between 13.8 and 14.2 volts. The battery is located under the rear seat, inside the passenger compartment. From my limited understanding of battery technology, over-charging can produce hydrogen into the passenger compartment. My vehicle is now on the third battery, and has only 73,511 miles.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed, and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 19,150.
My car shuts off Battery drains, burning smell Rear camera gives out Clicking noises
My license plate light has stopped working. It was replaced and still isn’t working. This reduces visibility and increases risk of a crash. This is in addition to the legal requirement to have an operating license plate light.

This morning before my drive to work, a service vehicle soon message popped up on the screen. During my drive to work the vehicle began to respond sluggishly and lose power and acceleration on the highway. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk and the vehicle was unable to maintain highway speeds. I was able to make it to work driving at reduced speeds, and after parking the vehicle received a message on my Ford App of a Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power alert. My vehicle was serviced by Ford on 06/20/2024 for a recall related to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The vehicle begins to vibrate in the front end when accelerating and reaching 80 km/h. It becomes extremely unstable. The dealership was unable to find the cause of the problem.
Premature failure of both front CV axles. The vehicle had an extremely unsafe vibration in the front end during acceleration. Dealer has replaced both axles under warranty. This is a known failure and many of these vehicles are experiencing premature failure. Warranty will cover but failures are continuing to happen. Many owners have replaced the axles multiple times, prior to getting to even 65k miles.
The rear drive unit (rdu) begin to shutter and lock rear tires at low turning speeds. The vehicle was out of warranty with 85k miles. I paid a Ford dealer to replace the rdu and 2 weeks later the same issue was occurring.

Engine shut down at speed. Power totally went off. No power steering. Service engine light came on. I was able to restart vehicle but it kept shutting off. Vehicle starts with engine warning light but cannot be derived without shutting down. this has happened twice. Once with about 200 miles and the second time with 3,500 miles

Door check has failed in the frame. The spot welds have broken in similar fashion to the Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 23B56 on the Escapes. There are popping noises, creaking, alignment issues, and prevents the window from rolling down.
The 2022 Ford Maverick has a design flaw the harms the environment and places driver and passengers at risk. Specifically the vehicle does not have a metal skid plate which places the Evap System at risk for damage. If the system is damaged the vehicle is still driveable, but doing so allows gas vapors into the environment and worse, possibly into the passenger compartment. Looking under the vehicle, one finds some sort of fabric or mesh material which is definately not robust enough to protect the evap system components from damage. Driving on paved roads....no problem. Using this vehicle as a truck involves driving on farm land, pastures, lightly wooded areas, etc. This is where the damage may occur. There is no warning posted on the vehicle or in the owners manual that warns driver

CV axles make a very concerning, loud noise when driving. Any small bump on the road and it sounds like the front of my truck is going to fall off. When turning, there are loud knocking and clicking sounds coming from the front end, mainly passenger side. Electrical: My radio and head unit restarts randomly, both while driving and when the vehicle is turned off with keys removed from ignition. When it restarts, I hear a popping noise from the speakers, and the screen blacks out.
airbags 1 complaint shown
The component that failed on this vehicle was the restraint control module (RCM). It was replaced by the dealer and is not available for inspection. The safety of the driver I believe was at risk due to the vehicle occupant sensor not showing an occupant and only showing a question mark on the dash display. This was also causing an airbag and seat belt indicator light. The problem has been reproduced by a dealer. The problem first showed a rear seat occupant issue and then started showing for the left front seat. Showing an air bag and seat belt indicator.
