While driving to work this morning, 12/31/25, at approximately 0730 my front sunroof exploded. There was no collision, no debris, nothing hit the glass. This put me and my child at risk due to exploding glass. I have attempted to contact dealer to inquire but am waiting on a returned phone call. I have filed a claim with my insurance as well. There was no warning that this was going to occur.

When driving down the road with my 7 year old in the vehicle, the single moonroof spontaneously exploded. No warning signs whatsoever, the vehicle is garage kept and there was no impact to the roof of the vehicle. The glass exploded outwards. The safety issue this creates is the glass particles. The loud is incredibly startling which could cause an accident. This was confirmed to have happened before by a buyer at the servicing dealership.
The Power liftgate RH lift cylinder (Passenger Side) snapped out and broke causing issue to open and close.
As I was driving, I heard A loud pop sound and then my sunroof shattered to pieces! It was not unusual weather or too hot or too cold. Why would this happen?
Driving into work my sunroof just exploded. Nothing hit me it was like an explosion. I keep getting the run around from the Dealership and the Warranty company
The sun roof in our 2022 Hyundai Palisade exploded on Friday 28th November whilst we were driving down the highway on I25 to [XXX] . All of my family were in the car and the sunroof exploded outwards for no reason. There were no windows or doors open at that time to create pressure and no rock or item hit the sunroof. As you can see from the photos, there is very little glass inside the car and the majority of it exploded up and out from the car and the shape of the glass pointing upwards, indicates the explosion was from the inside of the car, to the outside. Despite the upheaval in the car , we were able to navigate the car safely off the highway. We were in contact with Hyundai corporate (Case number XXX) and they have denied to accept responsibility for this design issue. We have seen

Update to previously filed complaint number: 11608439. Safety issue has been resolved. Initial complaint was due to defective seatbelt receiver buckle. Van Hyundai Carrollton dealership and Hyundai customer service refused to repair the issue under existing warranty, both claiming the issue was not a warrantied item. Months after safety issue was first reported, the vehicle was taken to another dealership, Huffines Hyundai Plano, where the faulty seatbelt buckle was diagnosed and quickly replaced free of charge.
Captains seats in the middle of the vehicle keep having the seatbelts unbuckle by themselves when in use. It does not matter the size of the rider. We replaced the entire assembly with original parts for the driver side captain seat in October by a Hyundai dealer. It continues to be an issue. The right side was cleaned and reassembled. This affects the ability for passengers to be safely restrained while the vehicle is in motion and should there be a collision, we are unsure if they buckle would stay latched.
Seat belts will randomly unlatch. Mostly happens in the second row but does occasionally happen in the driver and passenger seat. My kids are normally in the second row and are aware of the issue. We always remind them to check the seat belts by pulling to make sure it is latched. The seat belts have unlatched even after the kids have pulled and verified they are latched which is pretty scary. We will be just driving down the road when the seat belts unlatch. Luckily we have not been in an accident in this vehicle. Afraid the seat belts would not help.
I have had two seat belts in this vehicle stop latching and come unlatched while the car was in motion. The first one was the middle row passenger side and the most recent one was the driver seat. This is extremely unsafe and I am very nervous for all of the other seat belts in this car. Both times I have been told his isn't a know issue and that they would be replaced by warranty. I am now finding out from searching online that this is being investigated.

Sunroof shattered. We were traveling on I70 in eastern Colorado. The temperature outside was just below freezing and the temperature inside was set to between 72 and 78. We heard a loud bang and we were showered with broken glass. My wife, two sons and I received minor cuts. My wife possibly got some glass in her eye but seems to have gotten it out with no ill effect. While I was very startled I didn’t swerve. If I had, we would likely have lost control of the vehicle. We were traveling at freeway speeds and I think we would have been seriously injured or killed if this had occurred.
2022 Hyundai Palisade had issue with wipers (stopping at 5 inch from designated place), it was reported and repaired previously in 2023 by Hyundai Dealer. However, recently after cold weather, drive side wiper arm was bent inward and passenger side wiper was not working. It is physically impossible for some one to bend wiper arm inwards and provided Hyundai with pictures and Dealer is claiming improper use even when we didn't touch or changed wipers previously. There was a recall previously on this issue but don't remember if my vehicle is part of that recall
Yet again the wipers failed to operate with a small amount of snow buildup on the wiper arm. I see a recall for the 2020 and 2021 Hyundai Palisades but not for my 2022. I feel this is extremely dangerous and needs to be remedied ASAP. Having to pull over on a busy snowy highway to clear the snow buildup just to get the wipers to work is a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Premature radiator failure that could lead to engine failure while driving. Common problem with Radiator at low milage. Cracks and looses coolant at lower drivers side.
The engine is burning oil at a rate that is unreasonable. When the oil level is low, there is no oil light indicator to show that the car is low on oil. My safety is being put at risk because the engine could seize up at any moment and may have slow or no acceleration. I caught the low oil problem just in time because i have a child who was aware of what the issue was with the car. I have had normal oil changes. This is a known issue in Hyundai's and these vehicles need to be repaired/replaced. The care will be inspected by a Hyundai dealership.
brakes 1 complaint shown
To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue involving my Hyundai Palisade related to brake failure. While driving my Hyundai Palisade, I experienced a situation where pressing the brake pedal resulted in little to no braking response. The vehicle did not slow or stop as expected, creating an extremely dangerous situation and a significant risk of collision. This occurred without warning, and the brake pedal did not provide normal resistance or stopping power. This issue appears to be intermittent, which makes it difficult to predict or reproduce, but it has occurred more than once. Based on my experience and reports from other Hyundai Palisade owners, this may be related to a malfunction of the braking or ABS system. The lack of reliable braking respon

While in operation speedometer was not working. Zero indication on mph gage and needle. Erratic operation. On sometimes, off zero sometimes. Both gages. Took video as proof. Took to dealer but tech unable to replicate condition so no repairs done. I feel vehicle is unsafe when the gage is zero because I have no idea of my speed.

I was told the problem is the rear shock insulators. Both have been replaced & the noise continues.
