When the vehicle is in 'READY' mode, safety systems are active and can unexpectedly apply either the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) and/or shift into Park (P) when events such as opening the doors, unlatching seatbelts and/or vehicle rollback is detected. This can cause issues when using an automated car wash, particularly those where the vehicle is sent through without a driver.

While driving along the courtney Campbell causeway there was a loud explosion shaking the car out of control. I was able to pull off the road and inspect the roof, where the exploding sound occurred.
