Passenger seat is extremly low, anyone under 5 ft 2 will smash into dashboard in a wreck. Called Nissan and also noted hundreds of complaints online. They changed the seat in the 2023 model to fix the issue, but are ignoring the 2022's

The front passenger seat in my 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is too low making the seat uncomfortable to sit in. Nissan told me to call the safety board to start a recall.
I also have noticed the gurgling sound from the passenger's side when raining and/or when I have had my vehicle washed, and as of this morning 12/02/2025, I have a leak inside the cabin of my vehicle from the middle upper console and over the passenger side window. I am taking it to a windshield repair place to be inspected to see if it is an issue with the windshield or the moonroof. I will then be taking it to the Nissan dealer.
On Sunday September 8 2024 at 3:01 pm while driving my car down the road my car suddenly started flashing the Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection system warning light. The warning started flashing then the engine shut down. The engine shut down for about five minutes then I was able to start it again. But My check engine light was on. My Nissan Connect sent me a message via email that my "PATHFINDER's engine may have an emission control system malfunction." I moved the car from the middle of the street to a parking lot and initially called for a tow truck. While I was driving my toddler who was in the 3rd row pushed the bottom located at the back of the 2nd row seat. The seat came foward with my baby who was in his carseat causing him to come foward at a really high speed (since the seat moves foward really fast and with impulse) causing him to hit his head and almost causing me to crash. I had to stop in the middle of where I was driving since my baby was screaming and crying and couldn't breath since he was being squished by the seat. The seat is very heavy and hard to push back in case of an emergency from someone sitting in the back row. You have to actually get down to be able to put it back in it's place.
First incident is dangerous. I have already had 3 incidences with this one. It has to do with the 'automatic shut off system' when you come to a stop light/sign or other reason the car shuts down when you pause driving. Traffic was heavy and it was necessary to pull out quickly on all occasions. The vehicle has such a pause that when it did start to go I had to slam on my brakes to stop so I wouldn't get hit. Took me till the third time to correctly identify the problem. Even if I turn off the 'AUTO', it comes right back on when you turn the car off and back on. Second issue is just really irritating. I purchased the vehicle for the tow capabilities. When you are towing and put the vehicle in reverse, it goes nowhere until you go thru about a dozen screens to turn it off the ABS sy

Collision avoidance system engaged without warning forcibly stopping vehicle in the middle of highway traffic with no obstructions in front of vehicle. Rear Brake pads also wearing out at less than 30k miles. Pads went from 7mm to 2mm thickness between 5k mile oil change intervals. This lead to extreme rotor damage and replacement of rotors and pads.
Upon routine service at 15,393 miles I was told that my rear brakes and rotors needed replacement. The service advisor stated that they are at a 2 and failed the multi-point inspection. I brought the vehicle to an independent shop and they confirmed the rear brakes needed immediate replacement. Upon further research, this seems to be a pattern for the 2022 Pathfinder with many people needing to replace rear brakes at a very low mileage.

Last Nov.10 after my oil change to Nissan Van nuys Dealership within less than a mile, i got terrible experience,The Car was stop in the middle of the road and a red Solid oil pressure light show up on dashboard and The Gear shift from Drive to Neutral and get towed and bring back to dealer and after 4 days i pick up my car and now i can drive it again! While driving at normal speed, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted itself into neutral twice without any driver input. During both incidents, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion in traffic, creating a safety risk for the occupants and surrounding vehicles. Prior to and after these events, the vehicle displayed a “SERVICE A/T” message and a check engine warning light. The vehicle has been inspected by a dealership. They identified an engine-related concern (including a failed mass air flow sensor) and an electrical concern requiring attention. However, the dealership reported that they were unable to duplicate or diagnose the unintended shift into neutral, and the cause of the neutral engagement remains unknown. Heated seats appear to be on, but do not heat up. The door lock sensors on the exterior door handles do not work consistently.
Issue I have is when its raining - any water in the doors is to to drain out the 4 drain holes at the bottom of the doors. On my 2022 Pathfinder it is coming out the 4 drain holes but also coming out from behind the inside door panels and all 4 doors causing the inside liner/insulation to get wet. If you see water drops on the black plastic piece in the kick plates /doorways then you have an issue. Is this normal and will this cause issues with mold and smell? It seems the issue is the weather stripe that runs under the inside door panels to the top of the door is not making proper contact with the door frame in front of the splash guard which there is an opening from the splash guard which is also a bad design which hold lots of water and when traveling at highway speeds 60+ and the splas

My sunroof exploded going down the road, no object hit it.
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the windshield defroster and heater were inoperable. The contact had to set the heat at the highest temperature for lukewarm heat to be distributed out of the air vents. The contact was concerned that the defroster would not clear condensation on the windshield in cold weather conditions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with blower motor failure. The dealer informed the contact that the blower motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

The car showed engine check light and auto start error. I took it to the dealer (Nissan bertera Auburn) and the said one of the ground wires had corrosion and they had fixed issue. i paid for the fix. After driving for 2 miles error came back. Dealer asked me to drive back. When I got back they said technicians are done for the day and I should go to nearest dealer the following day. Car is 22675 miles and still under warranty

Driver's side TPS failed and did not hold air causing tire to deflate to 13 pounds of pressure making steering and braking difficult. Car was purchased new in September 2021 with 12 miles. Purchased from dealer with wheels powder coated. Since new up to 3700 miles there was ZERO issues until the tire kept losing pressure. The dealer I took it to claims they will not cover it because the wheels are powder coated and that caused the malfunction. This is ridiculous and having a failed TPS and low tire pressure, the dealer Sansone Nissan told me to drive it to the dealer I purchased it from because he did not want to cover it.

Looking at the dashboard seatbelt display. I regularly have 5 occupants in the car. The display shows red x’s across the seats, indicating there are no bucked passengers in the vehicle. The visible display may only show the driver is in their seat intermittently buckled by showing a green light. If safety systems are tied to this display, I fear being in an accident. Please look into this system. This after 6 recalls so far.

The automatic collision breaking system light just came on. I turned it off and waited a while. I was fine for two days then came back on and stayed on. Took it to the dealer and they said I must have hit something because the sensors were not aligned. I explained I had hit nothing. There is no damage at all to the bumper. No accident reports no damage nothing but they insisted I “must have hit something.” Light when off again for about a day then came back on. Radio turns off and on randomly. Had an engine overheating after I turned the car on a 56 degree day.

I was driving down a newly built road at 48 mph and all of a sudden it sounded like something was coming apart at the front right end of my vehicle. Everything sloped that way and then I was jerked to the right straight into a curb and then I hear a big boom. My psi went to 0 in my right front tire and I tried to steer left but I couldn't. My back end went into the air about 2-3 feet. I finally came to a stop on the side of the road about .3 miles from where the issue started. I was lucky I did not veer into traffic because I could not control my vehicle. I am experiencing issues with the gas pedal getting stuck and I have to manually bend down and pull it up with my hand. I have bin going back and fourth with Nissan for a year now. I have videos to show the proof. I have 2 kids to drive in my car. I am really concerned about the safety in the car. I almost crashed a few times. I reached out to the attorney general and they are stating that I should change out the whole front end of the car. I cannot financially afford that and it isnt fair to me . I bought the car brand new and started having this issue 3 months after having the car. I have bin communicating with Nissan ever since.
