On December 19th at about 5pm, I was pulling into a gas station driving at about 10-15 MPH when my brakes locked up and the car started shaking. It felt like the anti lock braking system was activated and I did not have full braking control of the vehicle. I was driving slow enough that the vehicle did finally come to a complete stop. The gas station was flat and the road appeared in good condition, but is was dark outside and about 40 degrees F. No warnings were observed on the dash or heads up display. No one was hurt in or outside of the vehicle. We have only had the vehicle for a few months (purchased used from Carvana with only 6k miles) and only 70 hours of drive time where the issue has never been observed or reoccurred. Hyundai has not yet been notified but I will file a report wit

I was coming to stop speed under 15 (mph) the brake pedal and steering wheel starting shaking violently, and (the) brakes seemed to be pulsating up and down. I had to really push down hard and all the way on the brake pedal and when the car finally stopped my car was passed the stop sign and was in cross traffic luckily the car coming saw and swerved around me. My daughter would have suffered injury if that car hadn’t swerved. There were No ABS or malfunctions in the instrument panel and no audible warnings.” This has happened multiple times and Hyundai states this is inherent characteristic of this model which to me means all Palisades are defective.
Automatic emergency braking. Vehicle has had several instances of slaming on brakes for no reason. Last time we were traveling about 35 miles per hour with a vehicle traveling behind us when system slammed on brakes locking them up and bringing us to a complete stop. We were traveling in the dark, in a rough road in a construction zone. No warnings lamps or messages. Scared us very bad. We are having the vehicle checked the next time we have in for service. Seat belts not fixed as of last service 10/25/25, per dealer no remedy available at this time.
I was pulling into my driveway [XXX] when I engaged the brake pedal pushing it fully down to stop behind my other vehicle. The antilock brake system seemed to turn on and the car did not stop. The steering wheel started shaking violently and the car went forward another 10-15 feet and I crashed into my other car, all while the brake pedal was completely down. We brought the car in to the dealership, Ettleson Hyundai in Countryside, IL, where they could not reproduce the event. They changed out the main governor of the ABS system anyway. This has happened to me on 6 different occasions. While driving at slow speeds, and applying the brakes, the vehicles ABS system kicks in for no reason. However, while doing this, the vehicle is not slowing down and feels as though it will not stop. The only thing that stops the vehicle is the emergency brake that kicks in when the sensor feels I am getting too close to the car in front of me. I have been close to hitting the front car on several of these instances and another time, I stopped because I turned the wheel to the curb and the sensor picked up the curb and suddenly stopped the car. I have noticed that this happens more if the road is not smooth. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for service and no change was done because they could not duplicate the problem.
Many times while my car was set to the adaptive cruise control the car wouldn't stop or break at all although the car in front of me braked and stopped completely. I had to slam on the break because the car wouldn't stop on its own.
Car lurches forward when you hit the brakes while driving over a bumpy road
ABS system activated when I hit a bump of any kind and I'm slowing down, like a speed bump, a 1/2"edge on my curb as I enter my driveway a little faster than usual. Or exit a long drive at that is dry and lower than the sidewalk and tires flyi over the edge of sidewalk and it activates pumping the brages repeatedly. Dates have been recent and a while ago. 11-25-25 and I don't have exact dates but probably 2 months ago and 4 months ago and 6 months ago and even 1 year ago. I took to the dealer but they said they couldn't recreate it so the couldn't fix anything. That was early on. I thought I was going to hit my garage door because it prevented me from stopping faster. It disengages my ability to use the brakes. They don't activate when being slammed on just when the road is rough. I looked
During a routine inspection at Ron Marhofer Hyundai in Akron, OH on November 22, 2025, the technician reported that both the front and rear brake caliper brackets on my 2024 Hyundai Palisade were “caliper bracket dry.” The inspection sheet also included the following warning from the dealership: “If not replaced, the brake caliper will fail, causing a dangerous condition where either the vehicle will not stop or will pull severely to one side when it does.” This was found on a 17-month-old vehicle with about 33,540 miles. Brake caliper slide pins and brackets should not be completely dry on a vehicle this new unless something was defective in the lubrication, assembly, or materials. The dealership confirmed the condition, provided photos, and gave a repair estimate. I contacted Hyundai
There has been several occasions where I am coming up to a corner or to a stop light and when I brake and, there is an area of 'washboard' or pot holes, the brakes stop working. I took the vehicle into the dealership (7/24/2025) and told them about the breaking issue and they were able to replicate the issue, but they do not have a fix for it. It is very disconcerting when this happens and the car doesn't stop right away.
Vehicle brakes began locking up when braking on bumpy areas. Took in to dealership on October 7, 2024 and left it with them all week. I went back to pick it up and they said it needed a software update and was fixed. A few days later the brakes repeated the locking up on bumpy areas again. After waiting 6 weeks for an available loaner car my vehicle is back the dealership, it’s been nearly a week again and I haven’t heard any news.

The low beam headlights are a safely issue with the 2024 Palisade. The low beams on mine are downright dangerous. 1. They are dim. They don't illuminate the pavement adequately. 2. The low beam light projection is too short, and the cutoff line is too severe. Coming over a hill or around a curve, the low beams don't illuminate the outside curb nor telephone poles which are located on the outside curbline. I own a late model Subaru Outback and a late model BMW. Both of those cars have terrific LED headlights that give bright light and effective focus. I otherwise like my 2024 Hyundai, but I would not have bought it if I had known about the deficient headlights. My next car likely won't be a Hyundai if my research reveals the problem has not been properly fixed.
There is a serious flaw in the low beam headlight display for this vehicle. There are two large shadows directly in the light of sight. I rarely drive this vehicle at night and with the recent change away from daylight savings time, I drove it in the early evening and discovered the headlights created a huge shadow right in the sightline of the road with oncoming vehicles. It is especially worse when turning on a curve and whatever is in the road ahead is almost invisible. I took it to my local Hyundai Dealership on 23 Nov 24 and had them look at it. They responded there was nothing wrong with the lights. They took pictures of the vehicle against a white background and it clearly showed two small triangular dark spots in the center of the vision. They said this is normal for Pal

The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that upon further inspection, the second-row seat belt buckles failed to latch closed as intended unless excessive force was used, and the seat belt occasionally independently unlatched. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
Dealer advised us to continue driving with a defective seatbelt. Hyundai Customer Care disconnected the call when we attempted to discuss the safety risk and did not offer a loaner or temporary vehicle. Parts unavailable for months.

I like how tesla has created an audible and visual clue to know when the Assistive functions enable, engage and they disengage. With this hyundai, there is a steering Icon, that lights up in the instrument cluster, that we should search to confirm its engaged, and then when it disengages, it just disappears without any warining or notification that the driver is in control.
cruise control 1 complaint shown
I just purchased the new 2024 Palisade. We were traveling about 15-20 mph when approaching a stop sign when I pressed the brakes the ABS braking system went on and I could not stop the car. The car seemed to learch forward while the ABS braking was going on and the car did not stop in time and we traveled into the middle of the intersection. Good thing the driver coming from the cross street slammed on his brakes and did not hit us. The road we were traveling on was a little rough and bumpy at the point the ABS engaged when I was breaking. The braking after the incident seemed to be normal operation.

I bought a new 2024 hyundai palisade. They advertise it being capable of driving the car with digital key app. But it’s a hit or a miss. The other day it unlocked the door with the digital key, but when I tried to start the car, it would keep asking me to have the key. This is an unreliable way and should either be fixed or not used.

Was simply driving at approximately 40 mph and heard a loud bang come from the area above my head. Noticed a wind noise at that point. Upon getting home it was noticed that the glass on the sunroof had shattered on its own. Nothing hit it. It simply just shattered. I've read about people with a similar issue with this vehicle and I'm concerned. Had the visor that covers the inside of the sunroof been open, glass would have hit me and my children passengers.

I had a flat tire with 1000 miles on the vehicle. I lowered the spare tire and retrieved the jack from the trunk. I placed the jack under the proper spot on the vehicle. I raised the jack and the threaded rod on the jack bent. When this happened I could no longer raise or lower the vehicle.I called AAA and they came out to replace the tire. At this point the jack is useless and Hyundai said it is a Courtesy that I have the Jack
