2025 Kia Telluride owner complaints

My 2025 Kia Teulluride that I bought on 10/21/2024 was sitting in my garage over night on 11/20/2024. The next morning 11/21/2024 I went to leave for work and notice a huge crack in the windshield. Goes from the driver side to about half way to the middle of the windshield

I bought my Kia Telluride on 10/25/2024. The windshield already has a long crack in the bottom going upwards. A chip will not normally extend the crack this quick after a purchase of a vehicle. Several others have reported the same from earlier Telluride models. This poses a driving risk especially at night with glare.

The contact owns a 2025 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH in the snow, the windshield wipers were activated to clear the snow, but failed to consistently wipe the windshield. The wipers were intermittently operating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer again; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed because the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure persisted. The vehicle was taken a third time to the dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the ring sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. I was driving on the freeway and the windshield spontaneously cracked. There were no cars even around me. My 2025 Telluride is brand new and has less than 5k miles on it…

As I was driving on the interstate, a small pebble hit the corner of my windshield (lower left corner on the driver side). It made a small chip that has quickly turned into a 3" crack. Upon inspection by a windshield repair company, it has been deemed unrepairable and the entire windshield must be replaced due to the location of the incident. I also have a small chip directly in the driver's line of sight in the windshield from the pebble as well. KIA Motors has a known issue on previous year (2020-2023) models of the Telluride, in which the windshields of these models chipped and cracked unusually easy (sometimes without anything even impacting it), clearly causing a safety issue. The front windshield cracked without any impact. We drove from Arizona to California and nothing hit our windshield or vehicle. We parked our vehicle and a visible spot and can see our vehicle at all times and we walked out and our windshield was cracked down the middle all the way into the driver side. It was not drivable back home to Arizona.

We traveled from bullhead Arizona to garden Grove California. We didnt hit nothing on the road and we parked our car and have full visibility of it. Nothing touched my new car. When we walked out there was a huge windshield crack right in front of the camera. I had to get a new windshield. This is a well known issue with kia. Is there windshield crack while in the highway.

On 9/18/2025, I was driving on the highway my son and I and out of nowhere I hear a loud explosion and glass shattering. I was terrified, fearing for my life not knowing or understanding what happened. Trying not to wreck. My sunroof was closed but when I pulled over and looked on top of the truck, my whole sunroof had shattered. I called 911 they came and examined the incident. I was directed to contact KIA asap being that they didn’t see any thing that could’ve caused the impact. I contacted Kia and was told by the service dept that they never heard of that happening.

While driving, the sunroof on my 2025 Kia Telluride exploded. I had the it closed, so at first I didn't know what had happened. It sounded like I was shot. I was not able to pull over right away due to traffic. However, I heard the glass and figured out what had happened. Nothing struck my car. When I was able to get out and look at it, the glass was protruding outwards and a huge hole was left in the middle of the sunroof (almost as big as the sunroof). This was terrifying. It could have caused a wreck, easily. I immediately hit my breaks and the car behind me swerved. I had to think fast and tell myself to just keep driving because I couldn't pull over safely. I have not had the vehicle 7 months and thought this would not be a problem to get fixed because it is clearly not a normal, or n

6/10/25 - 8:40am - Vehicle was in "comfort" drive mode and was stopped in traffic when it stalled. Vehicle would not move when foot removed off brake and pressing accelerator. Warning light "Put vehicle in park and re start vehicle". Driver able to put hazards on, place vehicle in park and restart vehicle. Dangerous situation. Contacted dealer for immediate inspection/resolution. Despite notifying the dealership of their dangerous vehicle they failed to act on it in a timely manner resulting in another dangerous scenario on 6/20. Dealership's first available appointment for service was scheduled for 6/26. During this time, driver would press a button so that the engine system would not shut off. This button must be pressed every time driver starts vehicle, or it defaults to the engine man

The contact owns a 2025 Kia Telluride. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V494000 (Structure) and requested to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

There is excessive noise coming from both passenger and driver side windows. It sounds like the windows are opened. The dealer said all seals are good but the windows aren't fully sealed.

The lower opening in the front grille allows road debris to damage the A/C condenser. This repair has an average cost of 2500.00 to 2800.00

Engine shuts off while driving. Vehicle warning "engine off! Shift to p or n, then start engine". The engine shutting off while driving is a serious safety hazard in regards to having enough time to pull over for oncoming traffic and stalling at/in a stoplight/intersection. The problem has not yet been reproduced by the dealership. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer with the service center stating "could not duplicate concern at this time, vehicle has already been driven about 68 miles and vehicle is operating normally". There were no other warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to failure. First apperance on 8/4/25. Other instances occured on 9/15/25 and 10/6/25.

I am the owner of a 2025 KIA Telluride. The engine shuts completely off with a Warming stating "Engine OFF! Shift to P or N, then restart engine". Car has no power and creates a dangerous situation in traffic. You are on a highway and you have to stop the car to restart. The traffic flow is dangerously interrupted. This issue happens randomly on it's own time and the reason is still unknown. The dealership usually cannot duplicate this Warning and several 2025 Tellurides are experiencing this dangerous condition.

Front lights gets foggy when it gets hand wash, contacted the dealership and they are willing to replace the “Gasket” because the headlights must have “ventilation”. While driving with nobody in front the collision warning went off non stop, the road was completely clear.

Headlights does not display full visibility. It seems as if the headlights are cut off with blind spots. Headlights doesn't have full visibility. Headlight projection is not 100 percent. Dealership technician have said Kia doesn't have a fix for it. When its very dark outside their are blind spots. Vehicle smokes from the exhaust. Upon acceleration it feels rough with trembling effect.

The contact rented a 2025 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that there was damage to the rear bumper upon retrieval. While using lane assist, traveling around a curve at 55 MPH, the steering wheel was pushing and pulling, and failed to turn and continued going straight; the vehicle crossed the highway and crashed into a ditch. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact sustained injuries to his back and had bruises, but no medical assistance was provided. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The air bags deployed. There was no reported fire. A police report was filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. When I was driving in a parking lot on 10/03/25 my car displayed a warning light that my engine was off and I needed to shift to neutral or park. This occurred 2 other times. I was parked at a light on 10/10 and when we left dinner and turned at a light it also shut off. This is a huge safety concern and I have saw others reporting this same issue.

Purchased vehicle 1/18/2025; first and only owner. Occurrence = Engine Shut off, alarm sounded and warning lights flashed; Error: "Engine off, shift to N or P, Then start engine."
