2025 Hyundai Tucson
NHTSA campaign 26V400000 — ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, “Controls and Displays.”
Risk: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Fix: The instrument panel display software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 22, 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai’s customer service at 855-371-9460. Hyundai’s number for this recall is 304. 2025 Chevrolet Express
NHTSA campaign 26V399000 — STEERING.
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Express, and 2025-2026 Savana vehicles. The steering gear assembly may have a nut that was not properly tightened.
Risk: A loose nut that separates from the steering gear assembly while driving can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering gear assembly, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 10, 2026. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM’s number for this recall is N262563570.
