Driver first noticed the smell of burning brakes when coming to a stop after exiting the highway, all at low speeds (speed limit was 35mph or less). At the next intersection, driver noticed white smoke coming from right front wheel. Driver got out to inspect the wheel, and noticed that the right front brake caliper and brake rotor were extremely hot and smoke and flames were coming from them. Other three wheels were cool (normal). There were no warning lights, etc. Turned off car, back on, in the hope of e.g. Resetting the ABS controller -- no changes. Brakes were so hot that driver decided to drive some nearby frontage roads at low speeds, without using the brakes, in an attempt to cool the right front brake. Made little difference. Eventually parked the vehicle (braking continued

About 2 - 2 1/2 years ago we laid are middle seat down in the middle row of are expedition to make ease of are dogs getting in and out of the vehicle. But now I'm in the process of putting the seat up to go travel, but I am having concerns about the seat considering the seat will not re-latch in the up right position, to make it capable of holding 8 people total in the vehicle safely. The local shop doesn't have a clue but does agree its a safety hazard in a way. The only solution they can think of is to replace out what ever part that is bad and then go from there, pricing on part alone is ranging as high as 650 dollars for everything minus labor fees. *tr

While my wife was rolling up the passenger side window in our vehicle, the window became stuck and would not roll back up. Now my wife and two kids were stuck riding around with a widow halfway rolled down in cold weather. She took the vehicle to the dealership and they wanted close to 400$ to repair it. This is pretty bad considering there is thousands of complaints on the internet on this same issue. A faulty window regulator. I called the parts department to get a price, and the sales person even told me this was a very common problem. At 400$ times 4 adds up and is ridiculous for a $50,000 vehicle. *tr

My 2008 Ford expedition passenger front side window started a high pitch squeak/squeal when going up and down (power windows)a week later my driver front side window started the same, they both did this for about a month and then one morning I put the driver side down and went to put it up it started to shimmy up and down like it wanted to go up but would then go down again, after playing with it my husband finally got it to go up. Since then I had used it 2 weeks later to find that the window shimmied again while trying to put it up and following trying to get the window up there was a loud noise the window wouldn't go up at all. Took it to the dealership and the inside cable for the power window was broken, since this is not a warrantied item, we had them replaced the "window regulato

My truck was put in park and I couldn't put the car in gear. I was stranded with my family for 1 1/2 . I had to do research so I went to the internet on my cell phone and found out that it was the break light switch. I also read the manual and it said to replace the fuse . I did that and it still wouldn't go into gear. I had my wife stand in the back of the car while I depressed the brakes and the light wouldn't go on. After reading on line someone had mentioned to go under the dash board and giggle the switch by the break peddle. I did and started the car and thankfully the car was able to go into gear. I had went out this morning and im still having the same problem. I jiggled the switch again by the break peddle and it worked again. *tr
