TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC CANYON. WHEN SHE SLIGHTLY STRUCK THE GEAR SHIFTER AT 20 MPH THE GEAR SHIFTED FROM "DRIVE" INTO THE "REVERSE" GEAR. SHE WAS ABLE TO REGAIN VEHICLE CONTROL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,400. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 3,700.

WAS DRIVING SLOWLY IN A PARKING LOT AND WAS STARTING THE TURN INTO A PARKING STALL WHEN THE STEERING BECAME VERY DIFFICULT AND THE VEHICLE HAD DIFFICULTY MOVING FORWARD.
