Vehicle stalled on highway when going over 40 MPH. Water gets into left rear light and causes rear lights to go out.
Water is/has pooled in the rear tail lamp mounted on the lift gate, causing the LED's to not work correctly and short out on the passenger side. I am not alone by my research on Dodge durango forums. This appears to be a universal problem with most owners whose LED's are also shorted out. I am wondering why there has not been a recall, or, if there is, I would appreciate a replacement at no cost to me. The whole assembly needs to be replaced, as these are not repairable. I did not place water in this sealed unit, so how did so many of us get water in there? Would appreciate and explanation of why I should have to pay over $1,000.00 for a factory defect? Any reply would greatly be helpful.

The car is making an annoying "whining noise/hum" when driving. As the speed increases so does the noise. I have had the 2014 durango citadel (v6) 2 years and have approximately 16,000 miles on it. I started to notice the noise around 12,000 miles. The tires are inflated at the recommended tire pressure and have been recently rotated. This has had no effect on the level of noise. I spoke to another owner of the Dodge 2014 durango citadel and he is having the same problem. He mentioned that on a recent service at the Dodge dealer they asked him if he was experiencing any noise in the drive train. I will be following up with my dealer tomorrow.
Wife went to start up vehicle and it would not crank over.called aaa for a jump. It crank and started with a rattle can sound.I came home to verify sound. It did such sound as she explained. I'm a mechanic and removed valve cover to check for rocker damage none found. I removed intake and found water in #7and #8 cylinder.I looked at seals on intake and found not installed properly. The seals were not square in bores of intake. I have not removed oil pan but I suspect connecting rods bent on start up. I need to know if Dodge new about this issue. I did do a coolant pressure test and it held fine with no leaks. Was there a recall on the intake which destroyed my wife's engine. *tr
After parking in my driveway which is on a very slight angle to the street, I went inside and sat down. A few minutes later, my neighbor came to the door and told me my car was in the street. It had rolled back about 50 feet . The vehicle was still locked and showed it was in park. Thank god there were no injuries.

The seat belt will not retract nor lock up (tension) when stopping suddenly. I have taken it in to the dealership for this issue once already. They told my husband it was due to me yanking on the seatbelt. Which is something I do not do. I cannot even feed it back into the slot. I discovered the seatbelt would not lock up while exiting a parking lot. A vehicle turned in front of me and I had to slam on my brakes. I believe I was only going about 20 -25 miles per hour. I was barely able to stop myself from hitting the steering wheel. The seat belt never locked. This is a 2014, with a little over 49,000 miles. The seatbelt should not be having issues like this. Now it is going to cost me a good deal of money to fix. Being that this is a safety feature, I feel it should be covered from t
The shoulder guide that guides the seatbelt on its track found cracked on the driver side, and starting to crack on the passenger side while the vehicle was stationary. Noticed when the seatbelt would not retract all the way properly. Found upon investigation of the seatbelt system.

Rollaway accident. In 2015 I had an accident where my vehicle rolled out of my driveway. I was not in the vehicle. The vehicle was in park and emergency brake was placed on. I contacted fodge about the issue and they said that althiugh the parking brake lighy may have been on that if the brake was not depressed.completely to the ground the brake was not engaged.
The head rest pop open put of no where. Try to explain this to them and no one is willing to help. However after doing my research, I found out I'm not the only one with the problem and that is very common. When I brought this up to their attention I was told that there is not a recall on it so therefore they won't be able to help.

Rear LED litigate light collects water inside unit and burns out the LED. This the third time it had happened. Light was replaced twice already.
The tailight is not water tight and water leaks in and pools on the bottom. This water shorts out the tailight and causes it to not light up at all. This short circuiting can also cause multiple other issues for things unrelated to the tailight, causing other systems to short.

This actually happened about 4 months ago. I was at the post office dropping off mail outside in the mailbox in my car. I dropped a piece of mail on the ground. I put my car in park and got out of my car. My car began to roll forward, I was able to get in and place my foot on the brake. My door hit the mailbox. Later I went to the dealer to get a quote to fix my door and told them what happened. They said I must have never put it in park. They wanted $1000 to fix a little scratch and dent on the door. I decide not to fix it. Today I noticed the possible recall, thought I should mention this. I'm not looking for a response. Than you for your time.
steering 1 complaint shown
Three weeks ago, the power steering failed on my SUV while in motion on a city street. It tightened up severely, making it very difficult to steer. The Dodge dealer says the electric power steering control module is faulty and the part is on back order. Today (dec.19), I was told the part would not be available until sometime in january. A parts representative offered to locate a generic part from another manufacturer, which I declined.
