I was driving in snowy conditions and vehicle began baulking as if it was going to stall. A chassis system control warning displayed on th dash. I contacted the dealership and they advised it was due to the slippery road conditions. They advised to turn the vehicle off and back on and the warning would disappear/reset. I did this and the warning was removed however, brief moments of random "baulking" continued. A few days later I was travelling on a multi lane highway in a snow storm. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound, and the vehicle inadvertently decelerated and then stalled. The failure nearly caused a collision. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with rear differential failure. The rear differential needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the independent mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The manufacturer referred the contact to file a complaint with NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

On the highway traveling 70 miles when I felt the the car wasn't pulling and the RPM went to 6 then back to 2. The vehicle slowed down. Exited the highway, checked fluid level which was low added 1/2 quart and resumed driving. No visible leaks noticed on this vehicle. Purchased new in 2016.

Researched and saw that Nissan had issues with their CVT transmissions including the Rogue model and year I had. If there is an issue with the transmission, why are they allowed to still sell it? A bad transmission can cause an accident when driving or in reverse. It's 5504 dollars to repair/replace and no guarantee that the transmission they put in will work properly either. I was driving on freeway with cruise control on and noticed a couple of 'slips' in the transmission that made the car slow down and 'jerk'. Thinking it might have been a bit of bad gas, I kept driving for about 20 minutes. At one point the car seemed to slip into neutral and the tachometer revved up to about 8000 RPM even though the car was still in drive. I pulled over on the off-ramp and then I lost all ability to move using any gear. I did not see any warning lights. The car is at a shop now to diagnose. Had this happened while on the freeway, who knows what might have happened.

Car stops accelerating randomly. Some days it won't go over 60mph while I'm already driving on the thruway. Other days it will drop speed from 70 to 60 and I have no control over acceleration. This always happens on the highway.

Purchased used car. Airbag light is on with adult passenger in passenger side seat. Nissan said this VIN was not part of recall. They said cost to repair is $2000 and it's not covered under warranty.

The airbag light comes on for no reasons and after spending the money to test it, the mechanics suggested multiple defects (clock spring, module, etc). There is no hit or anything and yet it just becomes faulty.

The inactive passenger's airbag which indicates that the passenger airbag is disabled stays illuminated even when an adult sits in the seat. This is intermittent. Sometimes restarting the car will no other changes will fix the issue (the light stops being illuminated). I have no idea whether this relates to the airbag itself, the sensor, or the light. *js

Beginning in july I began having issues with the airbag light it was off when it should be on and on when it should be off it has been to the dealership on multiple occasions and multiple sources have looked at it but continue to blame myself and family. I have pictorial evidence to show people sitting in the seat in the airbag is off and pictorial evidence showing that the airbag should be on. It's been "repaired" multiple times to no success. *tr

Driver side Car door doesn't open from the inside nor outside. Windows will not go down button on door will not open or lock door.

My horn stopped working and my airbag light came on. Now I don’t know if my airbag is going to randomly deploy. The dealership wants more than $600 to fix this faulty part and there are several forums suggesting that this is a known problem. How can a single mother keep herself and her teen driver’s safe while driving this car?

No incident yet but the front hood is beginning to corrode and the corrosion is creeping up on the underside of the hood. We have contacted Nissan without success. There has been no resolution.

Issue occurs when driving around a 30 minute plus commute. When driving at an incline the vehicle fails to accelerate and reduces speeds rapidly changing from 65 mph to 40 mph. Rather scary to have cars flying by with lost of acceleration. There has been 3 incidents of this occurring.No accident occurred was able to pull over each time due to driving in the slow lane.

I was driving and my sunroof exploded spontaneously. Bridgewater Nissan and Nissan cooperation said it was due to impact, even though they could not prove it. I had to report it to my insurance to cover the damages. Nissan could not even support a valuable customer and pay for my deductible.
