2017 Chrysler 200 owner complaints

I noticed there were recalls for the following problems and I have seen all of these happen to my vehicle but they haven't been fixed. Cruise control wont come off unless you hit the brakes 5 or 6 times and randomly speeds up without shifting. When this started happening my gas mileage went way down and the engine light keeps flashing. The codes coming up are cylinder misfire and air fuel ratio. I have talked to several people who said they had a similar issue and their dealership fixed it. I was told there were no recalls and nothing could be done. Not happy

When I go to start the car with either fob I sometimes get a message "can not identify fob. What happens if I'm going down the road at 70mph and it cuts off because it can't identify fob. This car is 41 months old and has approx. 33,000 miles. So far the car was still when the problem occurred next time I may be moving.. This has happened about 10 time in the last 6 months with both fob's.

We have an airbag warning light that keeps coming on. It's been reset by a repair garage, but has returned this week. Techniction Stating the following: on technical service bulletin they state inspect and install a jumper harness in the front seats. Why do I have to reroute electrical. This should be a recall for repair because Chrysler has wired it incorrectly to start with. other information: symptom/condition: Right and left seat deployment squib 1 circuit open I am notifying you before a crash happens so all chyrsler 200 can be repaired.

The vehicle was taken to cass burch Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram valdosta (4164 n valdosta rd, valdosta, ga 31602) however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was however informed that the failure may be due to a defective light switch. The contact stated that the failure occurred mostly at night while driving. The contact also stated that the failure recurred twice. The contact stated that on several occasions while it was raining the instrument panel became inoperable. Additionally, while going over a bump in the roadway the failure recurred. The contact stated that her daughter wrote the manufacturer and was provided a case number.

For years now, my car has randomly, without notice, stalls, says “Shift To P” and goes limp. There’s nothing I can do in that moment besides try to get to safety before the car stops in the middle of the road. I’ve brought it in multiple times with no change or information as to what’s causing it. One dealership claimed I just needed an oil change which it didn’t but to prove my point, I brought it in after it stalled 2-3 days after an oil change. At this point, there’s been zero help or care. It’s only a matter of time until it causes an accident. Other owners definitely have this issue as well since they’re reported on here too. Any help? Or do all of us just lose money or potentially more…?

In addition, the emergency brakes unintentionally engaged and the contact was unable to move the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the failure previously occurred and the shifter was replaced. My 2017 Chrysler 200, that I purchased on october 8, 2018 has started to just shut down while I'm driving, with no warning. This is extremely dangerous especially in the type of busy traffic that I drive in, daily. I'm thankful that the times it did shut off, it happened in my neighborhood, while I was slowing down to stop at a stop sign, and before I'd gotten into heavy traffic. It shut down on december 20, 2019 at a stop sign, and the exact same thing happened again on december 22, 2019. Both times, it didn't restart immediately when I pressed the start button. It stalled for a moment the first time, and perhaps 2 minutes the second time. The vehicle was towed to autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram houston (located at 11515 south loop west, houston, tx 77054, 713-489-7825) where it was diagnosed that the engine coolant, intake fuel, exhaust manifold, and vault exhaust gasket failed and needed to replaced.the engine is completely out. Vehicle started to stall today while driving. It stalled multiple times and one point it stalled entering a major road. It also has a kick in the engine while driving like it's changing gear. This is ridiculous if this being going on with other for these model for a while why are they still being sold. The car is only 49000 miles now I have to find money to repair

Has happened on highway and city streets when I accelerate sometimes the rpms get stuck at 4000. And there is also lag from my acceleration when I take off and will get stuck at high rpms when I slow down while coasting and braking only way I've gotten it to stop is by tapping on my gas again.

Pulling down my drive way my vehicle accelerated without me trying. I hit the brake and e brake. It did not stop us. In result of the acceleration my house stopped us.

I purchased my vehicle brand new in 2017 and started experiencing issues within the first year. The car has cut off multiple times while driving, without warning, in the middle of rush hour traffic. It also frequently stalls. I've taken my vehicle to 3 different dealerships in 2 different states at least 10 times. Two of the three dealerships claimed that the problem was some sort of fuse underneath the driver's seat. After the car continued to shut off without warning, I was told that it was due to low oil. I've called Chrysler's headquarters who has given me a free oil change package and instructed me to return to a dealership every 500 - 1000 miles for an oil consumption test. They know that the car is burning an unusual amount of oil which is a clear indication that there's a problem.

While driving the car sometimes jerks also has a slow pull off.

I can be driving at regular speed but if I turn the corner or start to dexcelorate or start slowing down, my car will shut completely off. This has happened on numerous occasions and the car dealership keep saying it's no recall on my vehicle.

The vehicle was taken to leith Chrysler Jeep (5500 capital blvd, raleigh, nc 27616, (919) 872-5500) where the dealer found no failure and stated that the defroster was working as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to adjust the inside temperature to match the outside temperature during the seasons. The failure mileage was approximately 700.

I was driving towards an intersection to merge right onto the main highway when I was in motion still my car shut off and said 'shift to p' when I did so it wouldn't restart. The steering locked up and I couldn't move. It did not give me any warning or sign it was going to do so. I had almost pulled out onto the highway too. The radio and everything worked just fine. This happened once last year on a curvy two lane highway and I got lucky that I had a turn off when my car shut off. I called Chrysler and they apparently reset the system and it has been good since. It's not the alternator and it is not the battery. We ruled that out then. Jumping it does not fix the problem.

Airbag Warning Light came on intermittently at first and then remainder on. Vehicle taken to dealer to be checked on 9/2/21. Service department on 9/3/21 stated passenger seat wiring harness for airbags was defective and required replacement, Chrysler part #68395045-AA. They advised part was on backorder and it may take about 4 months to arrive.
