2026 Ford Explorer

NHTSA campaign 26V532000 — ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:HARD PARTS INTERNAL/MECHANICAL.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2026 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 2.3L engine. The engine connecting rod bearings may seize, which can result in engine failure.

Risk: Engine failure can result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing oil to leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

Fix: Dealers will replace the engine long blocks, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 24, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 26S58. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 18, 2026.

2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee

NHTSA campaign 26V529000 — VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. Due to a software issue in the body control module (BCM), the windshield wipers may fail.

Risk: Windshield wiper failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will update the body control module (BCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters will be mailed beginning September 3, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 77D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 20, 2026.

2025 Nissan Altima

NHTSA campaign 26V526000 — AIR BAGS:CRITICAL FASTENERS.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Altima vehicles. The front passenger air bag and front passenger knee air bag may have been installed with incorrect mounting fasteners, which can cause the air bags not to deploy as intended.

Risk: Air bags that do not deploy as intended increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Fix: Dealers will replace the air bag mounting fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 25, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan’s customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan’s number for this recall is PD202. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning August 17, 2026.

2023 Dodge Durango

NHTSA campaign 26V528000 — STRUCTURE:BODY:HATCHBACK/LIFTGATE.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Dodge Durango vehicles. The rear spoiler may not be aligned properly with the roof, possibly resulting in damage to the spoiler during liftgate use.

Risk: A damaged rear spoiler may detach and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 10, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 61D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 20, 2026. Vehicles in this recall were previously recalled under 21V842 or 23V115. Vehicles repaired under the prior recalls will need the new repair completed.

2017 Land Rover Range Rover

NHTSA campaign 26V527000 — STEERING:LINKAGES:KNUCKLE:SPINDLE:ARM.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Range Rover vehicles. The front suspension knuckles may have been replaced with incorrect parts during a prior recall remedy repair.

Risk: An incorrect suspension knuckle may not perform as expected, possibly resulting in a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will replace the front suspension knuckles, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed October 9, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Land Rover’s customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover’s number for this recall is D148.
